Onmisbaar dit interpretatiecentrum waar we worden uitgelegd over de flora en fauna van deze prachtige werelderfgoedsite Peninsula Valdés. Vervolgens hebben we een toren om het eiland van de vogels te observeren en de verliefdheid van de vlieger en schrijver Antoine de Saint-Exupéry te begrijpen. Was het een hoed of een cobra die een olifant at?
Puerto Pirámides is een klein dorpje aan de kust in het beschermde natuurgebied Península Valdés, aan de Golfo Nuevo. Het is het enige stedelijke centrum in dit reservaat dat door UNESCO tot werelderfgoed is verklaard. Het wordt gekenmerkt door piramidevormige kliffen, brede stranden en kalm water. Ook ligt de nadruk op natuurtoerisme en buitenactiviteiten.
Later vervolgen we onze reis naar Caleta Valdés, waar we vanaf de uitkijkpuntpaden een slaapplaats voor olifanten en zeeleeuwen kunnen zien. Hier zullen we geduldig zijn, in de hoop het geluk te hebben verrast te worden door de nadering van orka's, aangezien het de beste plek ter wereld is om hun opzettelijke strandingstechniek voor voedsel te zien. Het heeft een hostel, toiletten en wandelpaden.
Na het bezoek aan het reservaat beginnen we aan de terugkeer naar Puerto Madryn, waar we, als de tijd genoeg is, een stadstour kunnen maken om de belangrijkste punten van onze prachtige kuststad te presenteren. Wij passen de rondreis aan door het Worry Free systeem aan te bieden, u vindt het prettig dat wij verantwoordelijk zijn voor de tijden, hiervoor kan het voorkomen dat wij de reisroute wijzigen of indien nodig een van de punten niet doen.

We halen alle passagiers op bij de havendeur. Ga alsjeblieft zo snel mogelijk weg. Als de starttijd van deze tour niet samenvalt met de aankomsttijd van uw schip, hoeft u zich geen zorgen te maken! We kunnen het verzetten naar uw aankomsttijd. De tour begint maximaal 30 minuten 45 minuten na aankomst van de boot. Wij zijn een toeristisch bureau dat bevoegd is voor de toegang en aandacht van cruisepassagiers. Zodra u van uw cruise stapt, heeft u ongeveer 30 minuten de tijd om aan de tour te beginnen. Wij zullen voortdurend contact met u opnemen.

Such a fantastic day! It was a small group tour to peninsula Valdez and Mariana was amazing. She speaks great English, is one of the most knowledgeable guides I’ve ever toured with, and has such a positive passionate vibe about her. She made the day so fun!
Fantastic Tour to Peninsular Valdès. Our guide Hugo and driver Nicolas were fantastic and spotted plenty of wild life for us to see, we even got to see some orcas which was truly amazing. I would highly recommend Animal Travel.

This was anexcellent tour Our guide Ugo was well organised and gave us a an interesting and informative commentary over the whole day. We left at 7.30 before the tour buses. Our mini bus was modern and clean. We saw almost every animal we had hoped to see including Guanacos, Patagonia Maras hares,Grey fox, Elephant seals, Sea Lions and of course the Magellanic penguins. We had plenty of bathroom stops and a nice packed lunch. We never felt rushed and stopped often for photos. We were back in town in time to do a tour of the town.We struck a beautiful fine sunny day which was the icing on the cake. An excellent tour and one we would definitely recommend.
A long ride on the bus totaling 400 km with a few stops where you can spot penguins, seals and elephant seals. Along the way you can also see animals in their habitat but then you have to be lucky because the bus travels quite fast. The lunch box was fine and the guide gave interesting information.
This was a very well organized shore excursion from Puerto Madryn. We were met at the pier where we paid the $35 per person national park fee in U.S. dollars. The tour revolved around seeing wildlife, and our tour guide, Jorge, was excellent at explaining all the animals at the viewing points. Our driver, Victor, also helped by stopping on the road when there was land animals in site, including guanacos, merino sheep, and rheas. We were served a box lunch and 3 bottles of water. We were returned to the pier in time to board our cruise ship. We truly enjoyed this tour!
Communication before the tour was excellent. We met the tour group at the pier as expected. We paid the extra $35 per person National Park fee at the pier. Our tour guide, Jorge, was excellent with his explanations of all the wildlife that we went to view. Our driver, Victor, was very good at locating and stopping at points along the way to view land animals. I truly felt that this tour allowed us to get awesome photos of the wildlife on Peninsula Valdes. We were returned to the pier in plenty of time.

This was a good experience, but moved very quickly and it was hard to hear the guide on the bus most of the time. More for the sights, less for information.
Had a really fun time on this tour and was the highlight of my trip! We saw so much wildlife, including elephant seals, Magellanic penguins, Patagonian maras, rheas, burrowing owls, cavies, variable hawks, guanacos, and a graceful tree iguana. I was amazed to see these other animals and it really helped having a small group where the guide and driver pointed out and stopped to observe wildlife from the van on our drive back, like a safari. Other animals possible to see include orcas and armadillos, but we missed them this time! I would recommend this tour for people who are most interested in the wildlife of Puerto Madryn, as the focus was on the animals and besides stopping briefly at the interpretation center (which had a small gift shop that may be very busy on cruise days), shopping or city viewing isn’t built into the tour. I really appreciate that they provided ample options in the boxed lunch (multiple sandwiches, muffin, granola bar, crackers, apple) and had vegetarian options too. They also provided ice cold bottled water for guests. We got back to our cruise ship right on time and made the most of the day.

There is a lot of driving but it is unpreventable because of the location of wildlife. Not a very exciting port.
