This was a phenomenal experience! I had a wonderful guide who made sure throughout the journey that my questions were answered, and I was comfortable. I met some people. Had a wonderful day of exploring a part of the city I never would have thought about otherwise. Hardly recommended for all ages.
It was a bit chaotic meeting our driver at the port but good communication throughout via what’s app. Tour overall was great. Lined the boat ride and empanadas!
Knowledgeable guide, we learned a lot of history and culture about the people making up the island communities
A good tour to see the out skirts of Buenos Aries. Our tour guide (Pocunda) not sure of the spelling was incredible good and funny.
Viator cares only about profit. I booked a tango show in Buenos Aries. Viator cancelled it at the last minute with no explanation. I then booked a river cruise. The company did not pick up at our hotel. I called Viator and asked where I could meet the tour. They gave me an address . We were never picked up. Viator refuses to refund the trip even though we did exactly as they told us. By the way I booked the tango show for the same night that Viator cancelled through our hotel at the same venue.
Going on a boat through the delta and up the Parana was an incredible experience with all the amazing impressions. However, the pickup times over all hotels were quite long and some waited 20 minutes. The included lunch was moderate and after that there were only 20 minutes at the Puerto de frutas market before everyone was taken home on the bus. The guide Emilia was very friendly though. If you like to travel individually, you are advised to arrive and book the river trip on site. Definitely too much money with $125 in the group.
Our guide Heraldo was lovely. He clearly knows his stuff and is passionate about sharing. Our driver was good as well. The tour itself is mainly for the boat ride up the delta. The rest is nothing special. It was a little odd that some of us were on a different boat and met our guide when he and the others disembarked a few minutes after us in Tigre. The snacks were ample and there was a no meat option. The fruit market was filled with touristy items and seemed geared toward Argentinian tourists.
we were picked up punctually at our hotel, picked up a few other passengers and went to the pier - about 45 minutes total. The Catamaran that we had was older, and NOT in good shape. The upholstery is worn, chewed through, had holes. My window had a crack in it, as did a few other windows. Due to bad weather, all passengers were inside, so it was full. I had my jacket stuffed between myself and the window as it was cool, and after about 30 minutes realized that it wasnt just cold, but wet - the rubber seat at the top of the window was leaking, and the seat, jacket and I were all wet. I pointed this out to our guide, but the only response was - find another seat. Hmmm. Nobody controls the weather, and it was unfortunate that we couldnt see the scenery very well. Before we arrived at Tigre itself, we hit something submerged - probably a log- and lost power. We limped the last 6 km into port, but made it ! The Tigre Delta is huge. We saw only a small portion of course, but it is fascinating how the people live on the islands. We had a small city tour while it was dry, then had our included snack of Empanadas at a Rowing Club. Then off to the Market area for shopping - sadly 90% of the shops were closed due to the heavy rain that morning. Back in the bus to BA, and drop off at our hotel. Altogether an interesting, entertaining tour that could only have been better with better weather, and a better BOAT ! Tour guide Nathalie , and driver Willilam were polite, knowledgeable, and professional.
The driver and tour guide Carolina did great job through entire trip. Very friendly and informative. Carolina gave group interesting facts and information all day. Trip started on boat in Puerto Madero. Great views on boat trip to Tigre Delta, especially on the narrow river. We had empanda lunch in Tigre that was good. Then we took bus back to Buenos Aries and made a few stops at key places of interest including a church in San Ysidro. Overall the trip was enjoyable day. Great way to see sites outside city. Caroline was very professional and excellent tour guide.
Great tour and Caroline was fantastic. It did feel a bit rushed on the tour back. Needed More time in Tigre
