Scooter-avontuur op Monkey Mountain

Had a great ride with Cillian and Luke. They took good care of us and we're excellent at spotting monkeys along the way. Great afternoon!

We had an excellent tour with Cillian and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Da Nang. Exploring the city by motorbike made the whole experience feel much more immersive. It allowed us to see the main sights while also enjoying the journey in between. Starting early was a big advantage as we avoided the crowds and had a more relaxed experience at each stop. The ride through the hills was a standout moment. The scenery was beautiful throughout and made the journey just as memorable as the destinations. We also stopped for avocado ice cream, which was a unique and delicious surprise that we really enjoyed. Cillian was a great guide. He was knowledgeable, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Overall, a well-organized and memorable experience. It is a great way to see Da Nang and left us wanting to explore even more.

I don’t write reviews often, but this one felt deserved. I joined the morning Culture & Hidden Gems tour in Son Tra, and Cillian genuinely made the experience. He’s extremely knowledgeable, especially about the red-shanked douc langurs, but what impressed me most was how natural and unforced everything felt. Nothing was scripted. He adjusted the pace based on our interests and took time to properly set up the binoculars and field scope so we could actually observe the langurs rather than just quickly spot them and move on. We began at a small fishing village at the base of the mountain, which added meaningful context about local life and traditions. From there we visited Linh Ung Pagoda, where he shared insights into Buddhist practices and local beliefs in a clear and balanced way. The hidden viewpoints were beautiful, especially in the softer morning light, and the quieter back roads gave us better chances to see wildlife. The motorbike ride felt safe and smooth throughout. Pickup was punctual, communication beforehand was clear, and water and snacks were provided. Everything was well organised without feeling overly commercial. I’m usually quite critical when it comes to tours, especially in popular destinations, but this one felt thoughtful, genuine, and well executed. If you’re exploring Son Tra and want more than just a scenic drive, I would definitely recommend this tour. Thank you Cillian!

Yesterday we did the Monkey Mountain Motorbike Adventure tour with Cillian and Leo, which lasted about 5 hours. And what an amazing afternoon it was. We started off at the Fishing Village/Navy Port, then to the Lady Buddha before making our way deeper into Monkey Mountain, looking out for the Red-shanked douc. The weather was with us, we saw some amazing views from the Peak, and were lucky enough to see 3 sets of Monkeys - and how beautiful they were. Cillian and Leo helped us to get some pictures through the binoculars (Cillian's are defintiely better than ours). Both Cillian and Leo knew so much about the area, the culture and the history - one of our best tours in Vietnam. We ended with dinner at a local vegetarian restaurant, which was delicious. I'd recommend this tour a thousand times over.

This motorbike tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Da Nang. Everything was perfectly organized and full of local charm. Riding through Da Nang on the back of a motorbike gave me a whole new perspective of the city — from bustling streets and colorful markets to peaceful coastal roads and hidden local spots I never would’ve found on my own. Bao was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He shared so many fascinating stories about Da Nang’s history, culture, and everyday life, and you could really tell how passionate he was about his city. I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Da Nang — whether you’re a solo traveler, couple, or small group. It’s the perfect way to experience the city like a local and learn from someone who truly loves what they do.

I had a trip with Cillian, he is so charming guide, talkative and has a tons of positivity! We drove through few spots that we available due to weather conditions, but in any case he made a trip unforgettable… Spotted a various monkeys that inhabit an island. Cillian told me a different history inputs during our tour. So I strongly recommend to book him as a personal guide!!!

This is a great way to spend the morning, seeing much of the scenery outside of Da Nang, including a fishing village, stellar views and the Lady Buddha. Our guides were outstanding, giving excellent facts on history of the area and their insights. They were caring and attentive and made it very memorable. Water was supplied, fruit was tasty, and lunch was excellent at a small restaurant. Bikes were powerful (needed on those hills!) and proper helmets fit us all (2 adults + 1 ten-yr old) Many thanks to Brandon, Alan and Binh for their care and attention - we will remember this tour and wish you all the very best!

I had a fun and memorable experience exploring the Lady Buddha site, Monkey Mountain, and the surrounding areas with my Scooter Adventure guide. The guide was not only knowledgeable about the local history and landmarks but also very friendly and engaging throughout the afternoon. His enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable.
