Nog een verhaal waar Sarajevo beroemd om is, zijn de XIV Olympische spelen die in onze stad werden gehouden. Onze tour is gemaakt om je de geest van de Olympische Spelen te laten ervaren en een flashback te krijgen naar de jaren tachtig. In 1984 vonden de best georganiseerde Olympische Winterspelen OOIT plaats in Sarajevo. Je krijgt de kans om in één dag 3 fantastische bergen te bezoeken, te beginnen bij het Olympisch stadion Kosevo en de Olympische Hal Zetra, inclusief het Olympisch Museum. Daarna bezoeken we Bjelasnica, Igman en Trebevic, zodat je genoeg tijd hebt om alle charme en schoonheid ervan te zien, maar ook om fascinerende verhalen te horen over Olympische Spelen, bergen en legendes uit die tijd.

De Olympische bergtour in Sarajevo begint met een bezoek aan het Olympisch stadion waar de openingsceremonie van de Olympische Winterspelen van 1984 plaatsvond. Voor dit evenement werd het grondig gerenoveerd en uitgebreid. Het is de thuisbasis van voetbalclub FK Sarajevo en het nationale voetbalteam van Bosnië en Herzegovina. De club stelde de nieuwe naam Asim Ferhatovic voor - Hase ter ere van zijn voormalige voetballer en clublegende. Het is een multifunctioneel stadion dat werd gebouwd in 1947 in de periode na de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Voormalige jeugdwerkbrigades uit alle delen van het land namen deel aan de bouw van het stadion. Het stadion organiseerde grote voetbalteams zoals Manchester United, Real Madrid, Inter, etc.
Olympische hal Zetra werd gebouwd voor de Olympische Winterspelen van 1984. Beschreven als "ultramodern" organiseerde het de ijshockeywedstrijden en schaatsevenementen op de Olympische Spelen. In Olympische hal Zetra bezoeken we het Olympisch museum, waar je veel originele items van de Olympische Winterspelen van Sarajevo vindt.
Eerst op weg naar de berg Bjelasnica, het hoogste deel van het Dinarische gebergte en het beste skicentrum in Bosnië en Herzegovina vandaag. Alpine skidisciplines van de Olympische Spelen werden op deze berg gehouden. Hier kunt u genieten van een kabelbaanrit (optioneel) of hete thee in een prachtig berghuis.
Na de Bjelasnica Olympische bergtocht in Sarajevo zal de berg Igman verder gaan. Op deze bergcompetitie gehouden in Nordic skiën, biatlon en sprongen. Je kunt zien dat hellingen nog steeds staan.
De berg staat bekend om competitie in bob en sleeën die plaatsvond in Sarajevo Olympische Winterspelen in 1984. Vanaf Trebevic Mountain geniet je van het mooiste panorama van de stad Sarajevo.
Je kunt over de beroemde bobsleebaan lopen die is aangelegd voor de Olympische Winterspelen in Sarajevo en daar een aantal fantastische foto's maken.

Growing up in the 80s, I remember enthusiastically watching the Olympics in Sarajevo. It was a great opportunity to see some of the actual sites from those games! The tour takes you through many wooded, picturesque back roads, which is a nice break from the city. It was especially interesting to hear stories from the local guide describing how the whole community came together to make sure the city was ready to welcome the world for this special event, along with stories of what it was like to live through the tragic events that followed only years later. This tour is recommended for fans of sports and history alike!
Our guide was knowledgeable and well versed about the tour topic. We saw the iconic bobsled , ski jumping, men's alpine, and the Igman Hotel. Due to road construction we were a bit late for our next scheduled tour but our guide called our next guide and arranged all the details so we didn't miss a beat. We learned all sorts of fun facts about the 1984 Winter games and was not disappointed. Only wish that road construction hadn't lost time for us as we didn't get to see the Olympic Stadium, Zetra Hall or the Olympic Museum. This should not in anyway reflect on our guide. We highly recommend him, his company, and tour. Outstanding !!!

Guide was amazing, tour just seems to be lacking something. It was neat to see each place and not have to walk there or take separate trips, but would be neat to see how this could fuse with the Olympic museum in some way (exhibits at each site, a docent that might accompany the tour, etc.) Nothing to blame on the guide or the company, was just a boring topic for be personally maybe.

It is meaningful to see the former olympic site, at the same time as the frontline during the war, in half day. The violence is directly presented through architecture, so as the complicated history of Bosnia in the last half century. Also it is a great combination of natural tour and museum tour. Our tour guide Agan(or Alan? forgive my poor memory) is really good, understandable and friendly. I really enjoyed today!

Alan was my tour guide. I was lucky to be the only person on the tour. Alan took me to all the Winter Olympic locations. The highlights were definitely the abandoned ski jump at Igman and the bobsled track at Trebevica. But i also got to see the abandoned Hotel Igman, the former olympic village, the stadiums and the slalom track. Absolutely fantastic and really blew me away. Thanks Alan!

I took a private tour of the Sarajevo Olympic site. Our driver and guide, Bedo, gave a very detailed explanation. He answered all my questions he could about not only the Olympics, but also Sarajevo's past and present. We visited as many Olympic-related facilities as we could, and I thought it was wonderful that we all took different routes and saw different views at each one. It was an interesting tour that allowed us to see the effects of the civil war from a different perspective, the Olympic site. I recommend it.

The Olympic tour was done on Wednesday, November 22, under winter weather conditions. It had snowed quite a bit the night before. Fortunately, Senad, our driver, was an experienced driver and he reassured us in a special way. Despite the snow, we still went to the ski jumps and the bobsleigh track by car. This made it a special experience. Senad told us a lot, he was aware of everything and gave very interesting information about both Sarajevo and the mountains in a light-hearted manner.
