De meest populaire tour van het eiland Madeira. Speciaal voor jou hebben we een divers programma samengesteld om ervoor te zorgen dat jij de tijd van je leven hebt. We willen dat onze klanten de spectaculaire schoonheid van het eiland Madeira zien.

We begonnen deze tour goed door Camacha te bezoeken; een van de meest landelijke en rustieke dorpen op Madeira waar folklore nog steeds op grote schaal wordt beoefend. Camacha maakt Madeira wereldwijd bekend om zijn rieten- en suikerrietindustrie. Maak van de gelegenheid gebruik om een verscheidenheid aan productiestukken te zien.
De volgende stop is Pico do Areeiro, de op twee na hoogste top van het eiland, met een hoogte van 1818 meter die een fantastisch 360'-uitzicht over het eiland biedt. Vaak zijn rotsformaties te zien die door de wolken breken, waardoor adembenemende uitzichten en fotomomenten ontstaan.
Daarna gaan we naar Ribeiro Frio (wat koude rivier betekent). Ribeiro Frio is een klein dorp in het hart van het Laurissilva-bos. Het is het grootste nog bestaande laurierbos ter wereld en er wordt aangenomen dat het voor 90% uit primair bos bestaat. Op deze plek die door UNESCO is geclassificeerd als natuurlijk erfgoed van de mensheid, kunnen we genieten van een fantastische verscheidenheid aan planten en soorten in hun habitat. We kunnen ook de interessante forellenkwekerij zien die (zo natuurlijk mogelijk) is samengesteld uit stenen omheiningen, zoet water van levada, gelegen in een prachtige omgeving van puur natuur.
We vervolgen onze tour naar Faial waar we de imposante rots van Penha de Águia kunnen zien, die Faial scheidt van Porto da Cruz.
Met een langere stop in het dorp Santana, heb je voldoende tijd om te lunchen en maak je ook van de gelegenheid gebruik om de wereldberoemde driehoekige huizen met rieten daken te zien die typisch zijn voor Madeira, geschilderd in vrolijke primaire kleuren.
Ponta São Lourenço, gelegen in het meest oostelijke deel van het eiland, kunnen we dit prachtige landschap observeren dat wordt gekenmerkt door de fantastische combinatie van rotsen, zee en natuur.
Onze laatste stop is de grotere stad Machico; het eerste deel van het eiland dat Portugese zeevaarders vonden, ten tijde van de ontdekkingen.

BELANGRIJKE MEDEDELING BETREFFENDE OPHALEN EN VERVOER Houd er rekening mee dat ophaalservice beschikbaar is in het centrum van Funchal en in het gebied rondom de belangrijkste toeristenhotels. Sommige gebieden, waaronder voetgangerszones, historische straten in Funchal en locaties met beperkte toegang voor het type vervoer dat wij gebruiken, zijn mogelijk niet geschikt voor directe ophaalservice. Als uw accommodatie zich buiten ons ophaalgebied of in een zone met beperkte toegang bevindt, verzoeken wij u ons uw volledige adres door te geven, zodat we u naar het dichtstbijzijnde beschikbare ontmoetingspunt in Funchal kunnen verwijzen. Onze activiteiten worden doorgaans in groepen van ongeveer 16 deelnemers uitgevoerd. Tijdens drukke periodes kan het type vervoer echter worden aangepast en het aantal deelnemers per groep worden verhoogd, afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid en logistieke vereisten.

Our guide, Renato, was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very funny. The trip was well organised from start to finish. We saw so much and experienced plenty of real “wow” moments along the way. It was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it.

I did not go to get the door where I was staying, in the application they accepted where I was staying then they sent me to go to another place, having a motor disability, nor did the guide speak in Portuguese as I asked when I booked,

Tal como tivemos oportunidade de explicar nas várias mensagens trocadas antes da atividade, o seu alojamento encontra-se numa travessa da zona velha da cidade onde, por questões legais, de segurança e de circulação, o nosso minibus não pode aceder. Por esse motivo, foi indicado um ponto de encontro alternativo, situado a uma curta distância do alojamento, provavelmente inferior à distância que os nossos viajantes habitualmente percorrem em algumas paragens do próprio tour. Compreendemos a sua observação relativamente à sua limitação motora e lamentamos qualquer desconforto causado. Ainda assim, procurámos sempre indicar o ponto de recolha mais próximo e viável, respeitando as restrições de circulação existentes em algumas zonas do Funchal. Relativamente ao idioma, o guia prestou informações em português e inglês durante o tour. Acrescentamos ainda que, no próprio dia, a senhora informou o nosso guia que, além do português, também falava inglês, francês e alemão, o que naturalmente contribuiu para uma comunicação mais flexível durante a experiência. Lamentamos uma vez mais que a atividade não tenha sido totalmente satisfatória e agradecemos o seu comentário, que teremos em consideração para continuar a melhorar os nossos serviços.

Some pretty typical old houses but a short stop is enough. Very complicated parking. Trying to join a visit
Typical Madeiran houses, definitely worth seeing if you pass through Santana. A must-see place, very pretty and free.
Renata was an excellent host, first class, and great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the days excursion. So much knowledge and a true gentleman to his passengers. Unfortunately this trip was not good. The bus driver was very abrupt, the mini bus seats were all broken with had broken seat belts too. I tried three seats and then gave up. We were told we could have the noisy air conditioning on or the driver commentary. We couldnt have both, as the intercom on the bus was broken. We chose the commentary so air conditioning was turned off. Only to find some of the windows wouldn't open and we were told to stop trying to open them. This didn't feel like a touring mini bus as the windows were really low and we couldn't see outside without ducking down. Some of the seats had the wheel arch inside the bus, therefore no leg room. The poor condition of the bus let this tour down. The locations were great and really enjoyed the scenic stops.
Stopping off and seeing different attractions on route and the commentary from our guide. We were lucky that we had lovely sunny weather on the day. We were picked up on time from our hotel.
Highly recommend this tour as it visits a number of places and our guide took us to see a genuine traditional old house, not just those built as a tourist attraction
Very nice day in the east of the island. Very nice stops with panoramic views, break time to eat in Santana and discover its typical little houses. We liked the tour as much as the one to the west. The driver was very kind and his explanations in French were always interesting. If you combine the West + East towers with the half day at the Valley of the Nuns, you have a very nice view of the whole island. I recommend Feeling Madeira, very good company and explanations in French for Francophones.
