Hoewel de oude binnenstad van San Sebastian onmiskenbaar boeiend is, kan het ook behoorlijk druk worden. Daarom trekken de lokale bewoners meestal naar Centro voor hun pintxos-crawls. Tijdens deze pintxos-tour sluit je je aan bij je vriendelijke foodiegids en word je een ere-inwoner van San Sebastian voor de avond terwijl je je een weg baant door de buurt, terwijl je onderweg een meer authentieke kant van Baskenland ervaart. Van klassieke pintxos tot aangename verrassingen waar de meeste bezoekers nog nooit van zullen hebben gehoord: er is geen beter deel van San Sebastian om volledig ondergedompeld te raken in wat lang werd beschouwd als een van de beste foodiesteden ter wereld.

Begin uw tour bij de centrale San Martín-markt in San Sebastián, waar de lokale bevolking dagelijks boodschappen doet. Uw Expert Gids laat u kennismaken met de eetcultuur van de markt terwijl u ambachtelijke Baskische kaas proeft en stopt bij een viskraam dat restaurants met Michelin-sterren bevoorraadt. Uw Gids pakt een snack om later op de avond van te genieten. Sluit je vervolgens aan bij de lokale bevolking aan de marktbar voor een glas knapperige Baskische cider – door jou op traditionele wijze rechtstreeks van het vat op je glas geschonken – met een Spaanse omelet en pintxo.
Ga verder door de stad naar een iconische bar waar de eerste pintxo, de beroemde gilda, werd gecreëerd. Proef het samen met een andere seizoensgebonden pintxo en een glas regionale Baskische txakoli wijn.
Neem even de tijd om de prachtige San Sebastian Cathedral te bewonderen terwijl je Gids je naar je volgende stop leidt, een lokale bar die zo geliefd is dat het zelfs een beroemde nachtclub op Ibiza inspireerde!
Proef hun voortreffelijke huisgemaakte vermout in combinatie met een laatste rondje pintxos : gastronomische sardientjes op toast, een verfrissende tomatensalade gemaakt met lokale producten en een onverwachte snack als eerbetoon aan het maritieme erfgoed van San Sebastian.

Our guide Lily was great - easy to chat with and gave us interesting tidbits about how to navigate the pinxtos scene. We went to 4 stops and had a drink and one or more pinxtos at each stop. It was a great way to try some new things. The only thing that could have been better was if it had been an extra 30 min longer. I felt rushed and had to quickly eat and drink at each stop. It would have been nice to take our time a bit more and have more time to walk and digest between the stops.
We had a wonderful time on our pintxos tour with Leni. She was vibrant and energetic and spoke so highly of San Sebastián and her upbringing here. Nice to hear from a local and to experience the city through her eyes. Food was delicious! Company was great
If you want to discover the centre and not be in the old town all the time, this is your tour! You’ll try lots of different food and our guide Silvia explained all the details and made the tour very entertaining.
A great little tour away from the tourist bustle of the Old Town. The Pintxos we had were some of the best we have had during our trip to Bilbao and San Sebastian. Ylenia was a superb, engaging and entertaining guide, and took us to a varied selection of places, with various types of pintxos and a very interesting selection of drinks. The little group of 8 were a diverse, friendly group and we all seemed to get on, which all made for a very enjoyable evening. Definitely recommend this trip.
Cristina was smart, knowledgeable and very charming. We totally enjoyed her and the tour. We ate well and learned about the Basque region and its food.

Lily was a fantastic guide. The tour was a nice pace and we visited 5 good bars trying different pitxos and wines. Lily was very informative and obviously is very fond of this beautiful city. Would totally recommend this tour.
Amazing food, beautiful city and great tour guide. We loved this tour - it was the perfect pintos tour with fun surprises! The guide was fantastic and the food was delightful. We had an issues that the company wouldn’t communicate with our guide to let her know we were running a little late due to a train delay so we could meet the group at the second stop. It worked out but the company should have a mechanism to contact the guide. I wouldn’t let this stop you from taking the tour but be aware that if you are a few minutes late you have no recourse.
Gorky was our guide for this tour. He has an insider’s knowledge of San Sebastián, Basque culture, and the neighborhood local food scene. He was friendly, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and able to communicate a lot of information in a short (3+ hour) pinxto tour of the “new” town. Highly recommend Gorky and this experience!!
