Een complete avond in één ervaring. Meer dan een foodtour, waarbij een historische wandeling, marktbezoek, een hands on cocktailles en een interactieve kooksessie worden gecombineerd tot één onvergetelijke avond. Dineer in een exclusief historisch gebouw met een intieme eetervaring die je nergens anders kunt krijgen. Ontworpen voor Connection is deze tour gebouwd om sociaal te zijn. De interactieve lessen creëren een ontspannen sfeer perfect voor een unieke date night om contact te maken en nieuwe vrienden te maken. Plezier en flexibele deelname : Ons doel is plezier en geen stressvolle les! U kunt uw eigen Empanada Arreglada koken en genieten van twee unieke kenmerkende drankjes: de Morenito een heerlijke cocktail op basis van koffie en een verfrissende Mojito de Cas gemaakt met een tropisch fruit uniek voor Costa Rica. De Morenito is niet zomaar een drankje; het is een eerbetoon aan de wereldberoemde koffiecultuur van Costa Rica. Mojito de Cas : De Cas vrucht is een lokale schat zuur, verfrissend. De Empanada Arreglada : Je maakt niet alleen een snack.

Onze tour begint bij de ingang van de bank, vlak naast het Monumento de los Presentes, met kleine, groene figuren. We beginnen met het bespreken van hoe dit monument de veerkracht en overleving van de gemeenschap in moeilijke tijden symboliseert, en het verleden en het heden met elkaar verbindt. Het is een krachtige herinnering aan de kracht en eenheid die de stad hebben gevormd, en zet de toon voor onze reis door haar rijke geschiedenis en levendige cultuur.
We bezoeken de Centrale Markt, opgericht in 1880, waar u de kans krijgt om meer te leren over de basis van de Costa Ricaanse landbouw en dagelijkse cultuur. Deze historische markt is een levendig centrum van het lokale leven en biedt een kijkje in de tradities en praktijken die de Costa Ricaanse keuken generaties lang hebben gevormd. Terwijl we de markt verkennen, ontdekt u de essentiële ingrediënten, ontmoet u lokale verkopers en krijgt u inzicht in de landbouwpraktijken die de regio in stand houden. Het is een perfecte introductie tot het rijke culturele tapijt dat Costa Rica uniek maakt.
We passeren de Templo de la Música, een iconisch bouwwerk in het Morazán Park. Excellent experience! This was the highlight of our time in San Jose. Angel was an outstanding guide and the food and drinks were amazing. You will not leave hungry or thirsty!!! We parked a little too far away and had trouble finding the meeting place (our fault), and the one-way downtown streets were not easy to navigate. I would recommend getting dropped off for this to make it easy on yourself. Definitely a must-do in San Jose!

Angel was our incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful guide and instructor. His tour of the Mercado and Avenida Central was thorough and funny. We had so much fun making cocktails and empanadas—our group was diverse and cohesive — and that was just the appetizer. This is a must do in San Jose Costa Rica! We did this in our first night to get accustomed to the country/city and Oscar, our guide, did an absolutely fantastic job. He was very knowledgeable in history, funny, and kind. The group was 6 people including myself, and we walked through the central market and the central avenue. Oscar did not pressure us to buy anything or get any souvenirs, he just simply told us about what's in the area and what to look for. He was honest about pick pocketers and the not-so-charming things about Costa Rica as well, giving us a realistic perspective of the country. The food and drinks served at dinner was super delicious. I am personally not a heavy drinker so it was nice to be able to have a mocktail or do a very light pour for myself. Overall this was an amazing tour to learn about the food, area, and culture. Angel was a great host and guide. I traveled solo and ended up enjoying the night with the rest of the group. The walking was manageable and there was more food than I expected. The hosts at the private restaurant we ended up at for the rest of the evening were very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this.

Angel was a very good guide. It was fun to learn a little about the city on our walking part of the tour. We also really enjoyed getting to make the food and beverages typical to the area.
