San Francisco Golden Gate naar Sausalito fietstour
Beschrijving
Beginnend in een van de enige echte Fisherman's Wharfs die nog in Amerika zijn, wordt u geleid op een reis langs de kust om zeeleeuwen, dolfijnen, militaire forten en meer te zien. Terwijl u over de Golden Gate Bridge fietst, geniet u van de unieke topografie en skylines die u van de ene naar de andere waterkant leiden. Eenmaal over de “International Orange” Golden Gate Bridge, kust u bergafwaarts naar het zonnige Sausalito waar deze tour eindigt. Ruiters kunnen genieten van de stad Sausalito. Na de tour kunnen mensen terugkeren naar San Francisco door op de fiets terug te rijden in je eigen tempo. Ook kunt u optioneel een veerboot terug naar de stad nemen (Ferry ticket niet inbegrepen), en in het hoogseizoen bieden wij een Sausalito fiets drop voor degenen die wensen om hun fiets te laten in Sausalito voor een extra vergoeding.

De fietstocht vertrekt vanaf Taylor Street 2661 - in de buurt van de kabelbaan draait u om bij Bay Street en doorkruist u een geweldige stadslus die ongeveer een dozijn buurten en districten beslaat - allemaal op vlakke paden die de SF-heuvels omzeilen. U zult niet vermoeien, want je zal rijden op een elektrische fiets!!
Zie het voormalige militaire fort, Fort Mason. Nu een recreatiecentrum voor lokale artistieke evenementen, beurzen en gastronomische streetfoodzaken.
Aquatic Park, op slechts een paar blokken afstand van Fisherman's Wharf, biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de waterkant van San Francisco. Zie het iconische uitzicht op Ghiradelli Square, de Hyde Street-pieren en de wijk Russian Hill.
Je zult langs alle jachten rijden en de prachtige landschappen en Golden Gate Bridge-uitzichten zien die Crissy Field te bieden heeft.
Bewonder het grote Paleis voor Schone Kunsten, dat in 1915 werd gebouwd voor de internationale tentoonstelling Panama-Pacific. De structuur is gerestaureerd en er worden tegenwoordig concerten en evenementen georganiseerd.
Rijd langs enkele van de vele steigers en Crissy Field van San Francisco, met zijn prachtige uitzicht op de Golden Gate Bridge. Zie de prachtige wetlands terwijl je langs de Golden Gate Promenade rijdt
Luister naar het geluid van de oceanen terwijl je langs Crissy Field rijdt.
Geniet van een kopje koffie of neem een korte pauze in het toilet
Laatste stop voor foto's en toiletten voordat je de iconische Golden Gate Bridge oversteekt!

De tour duurt maximaal 3 uur en eindigt in het centrum van Sausalito. Ruiters kunnen genieten van de lunch, bezoek de kunstgalerijen, kristal winkels, restaurants en wijn winkels die er zijn in Sausalito. Wanneer u klaar bent, kunt u met uw fiets aan boord van de veerboot gaan en teruggaan naar San Francisco (veerbootkaartje wordt apart verkocht.)

This tour was lots of fun. What a great experience to bike over the bridge! Marcus was a great guide—patient, informative, fun. He fixed my son's flat tire on the spot no problem. Dress warmly as it gets windy and chilly even in July. Def opt for the E-bikes—it made the ride fun and very easy. It would've been a slog with regular bikes. In addition to the bridge, Marcus took us by the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, Crissy Field, etc., and gave us some great history of the area. Don't pay extra to leave the bikes on the Sausalito side. It's super easy to bring them back on the ferry and you can keep the bikes until 8pm so can do whatever you like with the bikes the rest of the day. We explored Sausalito, had lunch, brought the bikes back on the ferry, then rode them to Alcatraz Landing and locked them up there while doing the Alcatraz tour, then returned them afterwards. Marcus got incredible pics for us at the bridge too! Highly recommend this experience.

Our guide was excellent! Jodi was very knowledgeable and gave our group lots of information and tips. Riding on the Golden Gate Bridge was an amazing experience, but it was so cold and windy. We had lunch in Sausalito and took the ferry back. We had an excellent day.

The Best!!!! What I thought was going to be a bike ride across the bridge turned out to be so much more. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to some unique spots. We were first time e-bike users and had a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

My Husband & I did a group tour today out to the Golden Gate Bridge. We were greeted at the business premises by the wonderful kind and friendly staff. Adam was our guide and he made it an exceptional experience. He is very knowledgeable about so many historical topics and has a keen love for nature especially bird life. Our group was small, different age groups and abilities. Adam explained everything with a big emphasis on safety. The ride was one of the highlights of our trip and next time we visit San Francisco we will definitely be back to take another trip. Thank you to all the team. Our e-bike tour from the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito was informative, smooth, and perfectly paced — plenty of time to soak in the views without feeling rushed.
