Inleiding met uitzicht op All Saints Bay en zijn 56 eilanden.
De plaats waar ons land begon als een officieel bestuur: Het oude gouverneurspaleis, de eerste gemeenteraadskamer, de eerste gevangenis, en ook de eerste stedelijke lift gebouwd op de planeet.
Met zijn stedelijke functie verbindt de Lacerda Lift in het hoogseizoen dagelijks ongeveer 27.000 mensen, van de benedenstad naar de bovenstad en vice versa.
De Mercado Modelo (Modelmarkt) is een van de vier meest bezochte attracties in onze stad, samen met de Lacerda Lift.
Het ongelooflijke gevallen kruismonument onthult de geheimen achter dit plein, waar de oerkathedraal van Brazilië in 1933 strafrechtelijk werd vernietigd.
Op een van de drukste pleinen in het historische centrum zullen we versteld staan van enkele van de iets meer dan 365 kerken in onze stad. Het is ook waar we capoeiradanseressen, Bahiaanse vrouwen gekleed in traditionele Bahiaanse kleding en de beroemdste bars en restaurants van de stad vinden.
Bekend als de gouden kerk, wordt het klooster van São Francisco ook beschouwd als een van de 7 wonderen van de wereld van Portugese oorsprong.
