Beschrijving
Breng 8 - uur door met het verkennen van het centrale deel van Kreta met twee verschillende plateaus, mythologie en veel leuke en interessante informatie over Kreta en het lokale leven. Proef lokale producten en geniet van een traditionele lunch met wijn en flessen water.

Het park van de Griekse mythologie ligt in het dorp Psychro in de gemeente Lassithi Plateau. In de buurt van de Dikteo Grot, die volgens de Mythe Zeus werd geboren, God van de oude Grieken. Bevat onderwerpen die verband houden met de traditie van de Griekse mythologie, Minoïsche beschaving en het plattelandsleven van Kreta.
Op het dorpsplein van Krasi staan drie platanen, de typische kenmerken van het dorp. De belangrijkste is de plataan midden op het plein, die wordt beschouwd als de oudste en meest majestueuze van alle platanen op Kreta.
Door het grootste bos van het eiland, waar de wegen niet bestaan, en de bergen een hoogte van 1.500 meter bereiken, zal er een verfrissingstop zijn bij een lokaal kafenion.
In Kritsa, een traditioneel lager gelegen bergdorp, krijg je een kleine wandeling om de lokale ambachtelijke winkels te zien en heb je tijd voor een verfrissingsstop.

We had a wonderful tour yesterday with our tour guide Geoff. We drove through some amazing scenery on the island of Crete. We visited an olive oil factory and had a nice traditional Greek lunch. We also had some scenic stops along the way. Geoff was very knowledgeable of the island and shared a lot of the culture, history and agriculture. He also had a great sense of humor. He treated our group to a wonderful day. Best tour since we have been here.

This is the second time that we have done this trip. Gary is a great guide. He had lots of local knowledge and we learned some new facts about some of the local customs. The views were spectacular and the meal was excellent. We will certainly do this trip again on our next trip.

Absolutely fantastic! Gary the GOAT killer is an absolute legend. He made our trip 100 times better - funny, knowledgeable and incredibly entertaining! We visited in May but completely forgot to leave a review until now. The trip was worth every penny, especially with a guide like Gary leading the way! Highly recommend the whole trip!

The journey through the mountains was a fantastic experience from the start. The information provided to us was very detailed. Our dear guide Thomas is simply wonderful. Anyone who books it will not be disappointed; ask for Thomas. The food in a tavern was also excellent and typically Greek.

Booked this via Jet2. An excellent day out and well worth the money. Our driver, Geoff, was extremely knowledgeable as well as professional and personable. The tour included a trip around an olive oil factory and an excellent Cretan lunch. The goats en route were stars, as was “Samson” our Landrover Defender. Geoff picked local wild herbs for us to smell and sample. A great way to learn about the history, culture and cuisine of Crete and explore Crete beyond the northern tourist strip. The trip inspired us to hire a car and explore the south of the island. Thank you!

Loved our Land Rover tour through the Crete countryside and highlands. The tour picked us up where our cruise ship docked. Our driver, Chris, was excellent. Knew a lot about the island including flora and fauna. We had a nice lunch at a taverna and made stops in picturesque villages and scenic spots. We sampled olive oil and the local "moonshine". Crete is really lovely-a great way to get out of the touristy areas to see the countryside.
