Als kleine onderneming garanderen wij kleine groepen (max. 6 of 8 personen), en onze routes zijn gepersonaliseerd en ondersteunen de lokale, kleinschalige economie. Voorkom de colonnes van jeeps en smakeloze tours en ga mee met een lokale gids in onze coole open legerjeep. Wij maken een ontspannen rit over oude wegen en gaan ook offroad. Breng een bezoek aan de 3e hoogste piek van Madeira, Pico do Arieiro op 1818 meter. Kies voor lokaal met een lokale gids voor de beste landschappen, drankjes en eten in Santana met zijn traditionele huizen. Vanaf hier lopen wij ongeveer 2 km (30 min) in een levada. Stop onderweg voor poncha en ook andere eilandspecialiteiten zijn een must ;)

Ophalen in de haven of andere gebieden is ook beschikbaar op verzoek en tegen een toeslag. als u van buiten de funchal komt, bieden wij op de dag gratis parkeergelegenheid voor uw auto. Vraag voor uw reservering naar de beschikbaarheid

Me and my family had a wonderful time! Nico is a great person and guide who drove us around the whole day with knowledge, warmth and laughter. I want to go back to Madeira so I can have another tour with UMM. They are a small company with a big heart:) I can’t recommend this more
Its difficult to put words on how amazing this trip was. Not only was the locations we visited absolutely breathtaking, but our guide Nico shared so much of his knowledge about the island and culture of Madeira. During our whole week of visiting Madeira, this trip became our highlight by far! Will definitely come back for more trips in the future!
Unforgettable experience. We did the West tour on Tuesday and the East tour combined with the sunset Pico experience on Thursday with our amazing guide Tobias! Once he figured out what we really liked, he customized our tour and took us (me and my daughter) off road through the most amazing breath taking places of Madeira. These days were the highlights of our whole vacation. Thank you Tobias for the unforgettable time we had, you are amazing. We had so much fun and really enjoyed our time, we would recommend every one to book a tour with you guys!!
My friends and I had a wonderful day with our tour guide Filipe. He was knowledgeable, kind, and very fun to spend a day with exploring the beautiful island. We loved all the stops we went to, each one better than the last. Communication and booking ahead of time was straightforward. Would definitely recommend UpMountain Madeira for a tour!
We did a 4x4 tour of the east with Up Mountain Madeira and it was amazing! Our guide and driver, Diogo, was fantastic - such a nice guy and gave us loads of interesting information as well as taking us to places we would never have found ourselves. The off-roading was so much fun too! Highly recommend this company!
We had a fantastic day with UpMountainMadeira. From the very first contact by mail, we felt the love for their business and clients. The reservation was very easy to make. The tour itself was also great, Diego showed us a lot of beautiful places and was an excellent guide. He gave us space to explore things on our own when possible and was around to guide and help us when necessary. Next to the regular roads, we also drove offroad a few times, which was of course a great experience. Diego also tought us a lot about de the local fauna. His kind and humoristic approach was fantastic and made our day. We would chose this company again in a heartbeat!
Up Mountain were just “the best”. We were extremely comfortable and had an amazing guide. We were advised to use up mountain by friends who visit Madeira often. It was the best choice after passing other (very cramped) vehicles doing a similar thing, we were very happy with Up Mountain and would definitely use them again

We had a wonderful day with Vitor touring the east side of the island. Vitor is a Madeiran and took us to many local spots accessible only by his 4x4. In fact, the tour was so good everyone booked a tour with Vitor in two days time for the west side of the island. Thanks for two fantastic experiences Vitor! Hoping to return and, if so, will definitely be booking another tour with you.
A fantastic day discovering so many hidden gems. Our guide was Vitor who was super friendly and so knowledgeable about the island. We were picked up on time in an old army jeep and visited Pico Arreiro, the Barcelo lavada, Santana, Friel and Ponta do Rosto. During the day we drove off road through the Lauro Silva Forest standing up in the jeep which was exhilarating and we stopped at lots of places along the way to taste various herbs and fruits that Vitor picked for us. We stopped for a delicious lunch in Santana at a restaurant recommended by Vitor snd visited one of the traditional Santana houses. It’s rather sad that these are not preserved by the government… a very sweet elderly lady was tending hers when we visited. We also stopped at a local bar where the owner distils his cider from the local apples - very tasty. Vitor was a brilliant guide -we had such a fun time and learnt so much. An excellent trip and certainly the best we have ever done in Madeira. Don’t miss out!!
