Deze dagtour door de Heilige Vallei begint met een bezoek aan de archeologische vindplaats in Pisac en gaat verder naar verschillende Inca-locaties in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray en eindigt met een bezoek aan de oude Inca-ruïnes in Chinchero. We halen je om 0700 uur op bij je hotel in Cusco. Daarna gaan we met ons privévervoer op reis naar Pisac. Onderweg maken we een korte stop bij een uitkijkpunt in Taray. Het biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de vallei beneden. Je zult de Urubamba-rivier door de dorpen in de Heilige Vallei van de Inca's kunnen zien kronkelen. Pisac is de thuisbasis van een van de enorme en prachtige Inca-sites, gelegen op een heuveltop met uitzicht op het dorp. We rijden je de heuvel op naar de hoofdingang van het complex. Hier geeft onze lokale expert u een rondleiding door het complex. Na een rondleiding door het complex, rijden we je naar het hoofdplein. In het weekend worden de smalle geplaveide straatjes hier gevuld met lokale mensen die hun handwerk verkopen.
Als je genoeg hebt van Pisac, rijden we je naar Urubamba. Het is het laagste deel van de Heilige Vallei van de Inca's. Hier stoppen we voor een lunchbuffet in een lokaal restaurant.
Na het genieten van een typische maaltijd, vervolgen we de tour en bezoeken we Ollantaytambo. Dit was de meest prominente plaats tijdens het Inca-rijk. Hier kunt u getuige zijn van de vooruitgang van de stadsplanning van de Inca's. Ollantaytambo is een van de oudste en continu bewoonde dorpen van het Inca-rijk. Het dorp ligt ingeklemd tussen twee Inca-ruïnes. Dit is ook de plek vanwaar je op de trein stapt naar Machu Picchu en Inca Trail.
Na een rondleiding door Ollantaytambo, bezoeken we Maras en Moray. Beide sites hebben een prominente rol gespeeld en doen dat nog steeds. Moray is de thuisbasis van cirkelvormige landbouwterrassen die dienst deden als landbouwlaboratorium voor de Inca's. Elk niveau heeft een andere temperatuur. De Inca's gebruikten deze plek als landbouwlaboratorium om de beste weersomstandigheden te bepalen die nodig zijn om een gewas te verbouwen.
Maras is de thuisbasis van de zoutmijnen. Het is generatie op generatie doorgegeven. De lokale bevolking hier blijft de traditionele zonne-verdampingszoutlandbouwmethode beoefenen. Onze lokale expert legt het je uitgebreid uit.
Als hoogtepunt van de heilige vallei-tour van een hele dag, bezoeken we Chinchero. Het is de thuisbasis van Andes-textiel. Dit mooie en serene dorp wordt vaak over het hoofd gezien door toeristen. Het herbergt een witgekalkte kerk die ooit een koninklijk paleis was van de Inca-keizer Pachacutec. Van alle locaties in de Heilige Vallei heeft Chinchero de meest vruchtbare grond. Tijdens de Inca-beschaving hebben ze, onder leiding van Pachacutec, veel landbouwterrassen gebouwd. De waterkanalen hier zijn een bewijs van de vooruitgang van de Inca-techniek.
Later op de avond rijden we je terug naar de stad Cusco. We zetten je af op Plaza Regocijo, een blok verwijderd van het belangrijkste plein van Cusco - Plaza de Armas.

This was the last tour we took after spending 30 days touring South America. We were physically exhausted especially after multiple high elevation hikes. However our private tour guide made this tour very enjoyable and we were enlightened with cultural information. The buffet lunch was great too!

Our guide Julio was very kind and patient, taking time to explain each attraction and answer all our questions. However, the tour itself felt poorly designed. It crammed too many stops into one day, giving us only about 30 minutes at each site before rushing to the next. Additionally, three of the stops were local shops—selling silver, alpaca clothing, and snacks—which seemed more focused on encouraging purchases than sightseeing, which wasn’t what we signed up for

It was an amazing experience! Very safety and calm, we could visit so many places in one trip - Sacred Valley, Moray, Salt Mines, Pisaq, had a beautiful dinner in a local restaurant (the food was included!) and visited little farm with alpacas and lamas. Our guide Jose was very intelligent and attentive, he told all the history and gave lots of useful recommendations. We had plenty of time to make wonderful photos and videos. From the first communication till the end of the trip everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, magical and charming place. Peruvians carry a lot of strength as does nature. It is worth seeing for its culture, cuisine, stories and colors. It's hard to fit so many photos in the cell phone.....
