Het eerste punt van je tour door de Heilige Vallei zijn de ruïnes van Ollantaytambo, een perfect voorbeeld van Inca-architectuur. De lokale expert zal je gedetailleerde informatie geven over de verschillende delen van het archeologische complex en je zult op een betere manier van je tour kunnen genieten.
Na het verkennen van de indrukwekkende archeologische site van Ollantaytambo, met zijn oude terrassen en adembenemende Inca-architectuur, vervolgen we ons avontuur naar het hart van de Heilige Vallei — Urubamba. Onderweg passeren we prachtige Andes-landschappen, pittoreske boerengemeenschappen en velden met maïs en quinoa die zich uitstrekken langs de Urubamba-rivier. Bij aankomst in Urubamba hebben we tijd om te ontspannen, te genieten van de rustige sfeer.
Na het genieten van ongelooflijke uitzichten in Urubamba, reizen we naar Moray, waar we circulaire landbouwterrassen vinden, en u de verschillende teeltmethoden van de Inca's zult ontdekken.
We gaan dan naar Maras, bekend om zijn zoutmijnen. Er wordt hier een andere zoutsoort geproduceerd, en je leert meer over de methoden die worden gebruikt om dit zout te kweken. Tijdens de tour komen we langs plaatsen waar we de beroemde chicha de jora en frutillada, gemaakt van aardbeien, proeven en leren hoe ze te bereiden.
Als laatste stop vertrekken we naar Chinchero, plaats van textielwevers. Onze deskundige Gids nam een korte rondleiding door het agrarische centrum, vrij prominent sinds de Inca beschaving. U kunt genieten van de ambachten van de handgemaakte markten, na de tour keert u om ongeveer 16.00 uur terug naar Cusco. Aankomst bij uw startpunt in uw hotel.

We had a great experience with our guide Teo! We enjoyed seeing the archeological sights and especially all the llamas and alpacas along the way (especially at the textelería). The chocolate and salt tasting was an excellent addition as well.
We cannot thank Jose and Yoselin enough for such a memorable and perfect day. As a non-native English speaker, I appreciated Jose’s excellent guiding skills so much; his English is wonderful, and his explanations of Inca history were engaging and incredibly easy to understand. Yoselin was an absolute angel, caring for us so kindly when we struggled with the altitude. The highlight of our day was the picnic lunch they set up for us—the fried rice was delicious, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. They even helped us retrieve our stored luggage from Cusco and drove us right to the airport for our flight. They are a beautiful couple providing top-notch, thoughtful service. If you are visiting, do not hesitate to book with them!
We had a wonderful day with Jose and Yoselin! We were staying in Ollantaytambo and had already seen the ruins, but Jose was very accommodating about making a few changes to our itinerary. We learned alot, saw some incredible things and had a lovely picnic lunch out in the countryside. Both guides were very patient answering all of our off topic questions. Would totally recommend this tour if you need to travel between Ollantaytambo and Cuzco.
I did the tour from Ollantaytambo to Cusco ending our machu picchu tour with our guide was very friendly and extensive knowledge to Serca of history actually I really loved it I highly recommend doing these two tours thanks Jose

Such a great tour! Getting picked up in Urubamba and dropped off in Cusco made things so easy for me. The guide was super friendly and knew a lot about the area, and the stops along the Sacred Valley were just incredible. Everything was well-organized but still felt relaxed. Definitely recommend

We did the Sacred Valley tour from Ollantaytambo to Cusco with Encounters Peru Adventure and it was an excellent experience. From the beginning the organization was clear and punctual. We visited amazing places like the fortress of Ollantaytambo, Moray, the Salineras de Maras and Chinchero, where we learned a lot about the Andean textile tradition. Our guide José was exceptional: very professional, attentive and with a great knowledge of Inca history and culture. Thanks to it, each site became even more valuable and we better understood the importance of the Sacred Valley. I totally recommend Encuentros Perú Adventure and the guide José for those who want to live a cultural and well organized experience in the Sacred Valley.

Great day! We were picked up in Ollantaytambo and dropped off in Cusco and along the way we got to visit a lot of archaeological and cultural sites in the Sacred Valley. Our guide, Dario, was very knowledgeable (and accommodating!) and kind and our driver, Fernando, made us feel very safe on some truly gnarly mountain roads! Highly recommend!

I recently took a private full-day tour of the Sacred Valley, and it was fantastic! The landscapes were breathtaking, and each stop offered a unique insight into Incan history. The guide was very friendly and shared lots of interesting information. I loved exploring the local markets and trying traditional foods. Overall, it was a memorable experience that I highly recommend!

Stevin was our guide and he was amazing! He showed us the ruins of Ollantaytambo, Moray, the salt mines, and then took us to lunch. After, he took us to a place where a woman showed us how she makes clothing out of alpaca wool and then to the town of Chinchero. This was all in one day and has been the highlight of our Peruvian experience. He explained the history of every place we went to and was so kind. If anyone is visiting Peru, I would recommend getting Stevin as a guide!!

Quite an insightful and an indepth tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas on the way back from Machu Picchu with Encuentros Peru Adventure. They recieved us from the train station and did the tour which was very informative and we never felt rushed or hurried. Jose Luis is a very informative tour guide with a true passion of sharing his knowledge on Inca mythology. Highly reccomend if you want to get an immersive tour off the beaten crowd.
