Our guide Anja O. accompanied us from Berlin to the concentration camp today. Anja knew a lot about the camp and its history. Very knowledgeable, patient, friendly and helpful. Recommended tour and guide for an impressive tour.
Sarah did a wonderful job of explaining what happened at this place in a respectful, yet interesting manner. She answered all our questions and allowed us as much time as needed to process everything.
Very good and interesting experience. Our guide Anja was fantastic. She made the whole day perfect. Wouldn't have been the same without her. Very good and good with stories and info about everything all day.
Our tour of Sachsenhausen with Benny was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable and handled such a difficult subject with the perfect balance of dignity, respect and historical fact. A confronting but very worthwhile experience, made all the more meaningful by an excellent guide. Highly recommended.
Irina was an excellent guide. Lots of info. Chance to stay longer if you wanted, there were lots of info boards which woukd take hours more to read. My teen even found it interesting and believe me hes hard to please. Would I recommend, yes most definitely
We had a great guide (from Canada)! We recommend this tour versus going there on your own. Great value for money!
Since having touched the subject of the war at school. This was the first time we had been to a concentration camp. It was an amazing but solemn experience and brought home the evils that lurked then and how easy it is for such evils to emerge today. Our guide Lucia was a fountain of knowledge and answered all questions thrown at her and some more. I think the main issue was the lack of time to take in all the exhibits and ‘senses’ from the experience but it was a long day so not to be helped. Advice: take a poncho if it rains, water if its hot, snacks if you get hungry. Its a solemn place so eat outside and always be respectful. The train journey is comfortable but don’t straggle otherwise you might get separated and have to find your own way. Lucia as a guide gave attention to everyone and ensured the experience was shared by everyone. Great guide.
We had the most incredible guide for this tour. Sarah was so kind and spent the ride out and back talking to our family about all things Germany as well as any questions we had about the camp. She is so knowledgable. She was very sweet to our teen daughter and talked to her about what she knew about the concentration camps and college opportunites in Germany. She shared some great food recommendations as well. The actual tour was done so well. We were not sure what the tour would be like because it is a sad and difficult historical topic and memorial. Sarah was amazing. She would explain things in an easy and informative way, then let us look at things and be there for questions. She made sure we had a bit of time to talk and process along the way. Our family learned so much and continued talking about the fantastic Sarah throughout our travels through Europe. Thanks you so much. We will never forget this visit.
We had a nice experience, we learned more things about history, this was our second Tour to a concentration camp ( Dachau ) it was very impressive, Lewis our was good.
The trip started meeting our guide Julia at a Starbucks near the station. Julia was a supreme guide, clearly an expert in her knowledge and her delivery across the site was exceptional, I note this as this is not a place for performance but she knew when to bring the group in so as to not need to shout, and show the respect a place like this deserves for the lives that suffered here. The site is incredible and I say that not from a perspective of the horror but for the knowledge that the guide had and the work done to persevere the site.
