Ervaar een krachtige en ontroerende reis op deze privébustour zonder stress naar het concentratiekampmonument Sachsenhausen. Reis met onze privébus met een Expert, gediplomeerde Gids die de hele dag door historisch inzicht en unieke perspectieven biedt Sachsenhausen, gebouwd in 1936, was het eerste speciaal gebouwde concentratiekamp en werd model voor het nazikampsysteem. Verken belangrijke locaties, waaronder de barakken, gevangeniscellen, ziekenboeg, executiegebied en crematoria, terwijl je leert over de realiteit waarmee gevangenen onder het naziregime te maken hebben. Ontmoet ons op station Friedrichstrasse, waar u aan boord gaat van onze ingehuurde coach om Oranienburg te bereiken. Onderweg introduceert onze gids Sachsenhausen, laat je zien waar de gevangenen in Oranienburg zouden hebben gewerkt en leer je meer over wat de lokale bevolking wist over de realiteit van het immense kampsysteem. Met onze gids loop je door het interieur van het nieuwe, moderne, altijd uitbreidbare concentratiekamp van Heinrich Himmmler. Bezoek het commandantenhuis en loop dan door toren A waar de iconische woorden nog steeds te zien zijn op de poort vandaag "ARBEIT MACHT FREI". Ervaar het interieur van het kamp, waar 35.000 mensen stierven tijdens de jaren van de operatie tussen 1936-45. Verken de kazerne van ziekenboeg, waar tijdens de oorlog werd geëxperimenteerd. Lees meer over hoe Sachsenhausen door de Sovjets werd herbestemd als een speciaal kamp na de Tweede Wereldoorlog, waar na de oorlog nog eens 12.500 stierven, en hoor hoe het leven was voor de gevangenen in de jaren 1945-1950. Nadat de tour is beëindigd, wordt je opgehaald en teruggebracht naar Berlijn in een bus met airconditioning naar ons West-ontmoetingspunt op station Friedrichstraße, waar onze gids je graag zal antwoorden op alle vragen die je hebt over je verblijf in Berlijn .

We had a wonderful guide. He did a great job of showing us the different areas and explaining each one. He had great stories to share with us that really put things in perspective.
This was a wonderful tour of a difficult place and difficult but important history. Paul has a real passion for the subject and explained everything so well. His mini talk on the bus about Germanic history was educational and useful. We highly recommend this tour and specifically recommend Paul as a guide.

Very informative tour. Nice bus ride out of Berlin. Great tour guide. A lot of history surrounding WW2. Very eye opening for first time concentration camp visitors. It puts you in the middle of it all and takes you out of the text books. Very real.

This tour was ok, there is not a lot left here and what there was available to see or read, there wasn't enough time. The tour guide was fine, but we were rushed through everything which was annoying because I would have liked to read some of the things in the museum.

Hannah was a wonderful tour guide. Not only did she discuss Sachsenhausen, she described its relationship to Berlin, all of the other camps at the time, and the going’s on worldwide. She also explained how the Holocaust began in great detail, with simple explanations for all. She surprised us constantly with facts we had never before heard … and we’ve done a lot of research into the Holocaust. Although this tour concerned quite a solemn topic, Hannah comforted us with engaging conversation about what can be learned and how to move forward. We were left feeling that our participation was highly appreciated since understanding the Holocaust may ensure this horrific event will never be repeated.
