São Paulo fietstocht: Avenida Paulista en historische binnenstad
Beschrijving
Ga met ons mee voor een 3 uur durende fietstocht door de iconische Paulista-laan en het levendige centrum van São Paulo. Beginnend bij França Pinto Bike Lane, rijden we richting Paulista, het culturele centrum van de stad, waar historische bezienswaardigheden moderne wolkenkrabbers ontmoeten. Hoogtepunten zijn Casa das Rosas, een gerestaureerd herenhuis met tuinen, MASP met zijn kenmerkende architectuur en de groene oase van Parque Trianon. We vervolgen onze weg langs Paulista naar Conjunto Nacional, een cultureel herkenningspunt, en gaan dan via Consolação Bike Lane naar het centrum. We verkennen historische gebouwen en levendige plekken zoals Praça Roosevelt, Parque Augusta, Republic Square en Theatro Municipal. Via Vale do Anhangabaú bereiken we de historische driehoek, waar São Paulo begon als jezuïetendorp. Voor degenen die meer willen, kunnen we uitbreiden naar Luz Station, het nabijgelegen park, en het Pinacoteca kunstmuseum. Op de terugweg bezoeken we Liberdade, de levendige Japanse wijk van São Paulo, en gaan dan naar het Centro Cultural São Paulo, om af te sluiten bij de prachtige kathedraal.

De tour begint bij França Pinto Bike Lane – Startend in Vila Mariana, rijden we langs França Pinto Bike Lane, op weg door een schilderachtige wijk die de mix van lokale charme en stedelijke energie van São Paulo laat zien.
Avenida Paulista en Casa das Rosas – Fietsend richting Avenida Paulista stoppen we bij Casa das Rosas, een prachtig gerestaureerd herenhuis en cultureel centrum waar u kunt genieten van de rustige tuin of een kopje koffie kunt drinken in het hart van de beroemdste laan van de stad.
MASP en Parque Trianon – Verder langs Paulista pauzeren we bij het iconische MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art), bekend om zijn unieke architectuur. In de buurt wandelen we door Parque Trianon, een weelderig groen toevluchtsoord perfect voor een korte pauze.
Historische hoogtepunten in het centrum – We verkennen Praça Roosevelt, Parque Augusta, het Plein van de Republiek en het historische Theatro Municipal, waar klassieke architectuur en moderne São Paulo-energie samenkomen.
Liberdade en Catedral Metropolitana Ortodoxa – We rijden naar Liberdade, de gerenommeerde Japanse wijk die rijk is aan multicultureel erfgoed, voordat we afsluiten bij de prachtige Catedral Metropolitana Ortodoxa, vlakbij metrostation Sé, voor gemakkelijke toegang terug naar uw hotel of verdere verkenning.

Good way to see Sao Paulo and learn about its history. Very safe, we were in bike lanes for nearly all of the tour. Pedro was great.

A nice 3 hour tour at a moderate pace, with interesting facts and stories presented throughout. A major rally required quick rethinking of the route and was handled very well. The guides clearly are well connected as the rain held off for the duration 🤣. As a bonus we experienced a metro ride with bikes on the way home. Well done, we really enjoyed ourselves!

Our guide Renato totally personalized the tour. We had participants of all ages, nationalities, and skill level, but Renato made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable and had a great time. This tour offered a snapshot of the city, so we could go back and spend more time at our favorite places but at least got to see all the highlights. Top notch tour guide and just a great person!

It was nice to discover Sao Paulo by night with a local person. Arthur is full of good recommandations (bars, restaurants, place to visit). As I did the night tour, it was not possible to visit the buildings but it was a great way to start my stay at Sao Paulo!

Super bike tour that allowed us to see the city from a different perspective. After only seeing it from rooftops or by looking out of the cab, this tour gave a better insight into the history of the city and how people live right now. Artur our guide was great and full of interesting anecdotes. The ride was fun and easy. We also had another guy with flus for security, so we always felt very safe and at ease. Strongly recommend to do it when in São Paulo.

Great ride. The guide was fun and I felt very safe riding in this urban setting. (I recommends prior urban biking experience.) The instructions to the starting point were easy to follow.
