Beschrijving
Deze Royal Tour door Londen neemt veel van de koninklijke hoogtepunten van Londen mee, waaronder Westminster Abbey waar prins William en Kate Middleton trouwden op 29 april 2011. Tot slot ervaart u de beroemde wisseling van de wacht ceremonie buiten Buckingham Palace, waarna u de middag doorbrengt met het verkennen van Londen op uw gemak.

De abdij is sinds 1066 de kroningskerk en is de laatste rustplaats van 17 monarchen. De kerk die we vandaag zien begon in 1245 met Henry III. Het is een van de belangrijkste gotische gebouwen in het land en heeft het middeleeuwse heiligdom van een Angelsaksische heilige in het hart.
Big Ben is de bijnaam voor de Grote Klok van de klok aan het noordelijke uiteinde van het Paleis van Westminster in Londen en wordt meestal uitgebreid om te verwijzen naar zowel de klok als de klokkentoren.
Het Parlement bestaat uit het House of Commons en House of Lords. Het is verantwoordelijk voor het maken van wetten, het bepalen van belastingen en het onderzoeken van de overheid.
St James's Park omvat The Mall en Horse Guards Parade en wordt omringd door bezienswaardigheden zoals Buckingham Palace, Clarence House en Whitehall.
Whitehall is een weg in de stad Westminster, centraal Londen, die het eerste deel van de A3212-weg vormt van Trafalgar Square naar Chelsea. Het is de hoofddoorgang die zuidwaarts loopt van Trafalgar Square naar Parliament Square.

Het belichaming van Britse pracht en militaire ceremonie waarvoor Groot-Brittannië wereldwijd beroemd is. Elite soldaten van het leger hebben plichtsgetrouw de Monarch bewaakt sinds 1660. De 7 regimenten die de monarch bewaken, bekend als de 'Household Division', zijn zo toegewijd aan hun plicht dat ze beroemdheden niet zullen erkennen of zich laten afleiden door de openbaar. Tijdens de ceremonie werden onberispelijk bewakers begeleid door marcherende bands die een opzwepende mix van militaire muziek speelden, waarvan de oorsprong teruggaat tot de moreelopwekkende liedjes die werden gespeeld voordat het Britse leger ten strijde trok.
Trafalgar Square is een openbaar plein in de City of Westminster, centraal Londen, gebouwd rondom het gebied dat vroeger bekend stond als Charing Cross. De naam herdenkt de Slag bij Trafalgar, een Britse marine overwinning in de Napoleontische oorlogen met Frankrijk en Spanje die plaatsvond op 21 oktober 1805 voor de kust van Kaap Trafalgar.

Very misleading description. We did not see any changing of the guard nor a guard on a horse. All we saw was a dirt field about an 1/2 mile from Buckingham Palace and was told by the tour guide that “this is where it happens. But today is Saturday and there is no changing of the guard on Saturdays”. Then why is this tour offered on days there is no changing of guard? And, a lot of this tour is a walking tour, not coach. You will walk about an hour. Once again the description of tour is very misleading. I would not have booked this tour had I known it’s a coach and walking tour and especially if there’s no changing of the guard. I actually want a refund.
Our tour guide was excellent!!! Very easy check in process. Bus was clean. Tge audio worked perfect.

It would have been amazing, except it is not handicap accessible. The tour bus had to park well over a mile away and then you have to walk down several steps (at least 20) to get to the area to see the guards come down the street and turn toward the castle. That's as far as I was able to go. I did not get to see the changing of the guard because it was too far for me to go.

I was expecting to be guided towards the front door of the palace but not… so we have to run towards the front to be able to see the changing of guard.it’s not worth it… to expensive.

The tour was terrible, she was biased and did very little than talk about the elite and privileged people of London. Did not find her knowledgeable, kept talking about Harrod’s, very monotone. It was a disappointing tour.

Sheila was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, funny and thorough. Her information was interesting. The changing of the guard portion was a little chaotic.

This tour is a good way to get see to a lot of the key places in London if you’ve got a limited amount of time. We didn’t get to see the changing of the guard because of the day we went, but we got to pass by a lot of the big tourist attractions and had a chance to get off and walk over to Buckingham Palace which was cool to see up close!
