The group gathered at Grand Central Station. Logically, we started with this unusual building that resembles a space art object. Someone's got a bright shark mouth. So, following Daniel's composition of the excursion, we headed to a part of the city I had imagined to be neglected. Bypassed the office buildings and ... set foot on a bright sunny yellow street carpet. When we were there with our Daniel, it was called Op Het Dak Bistro. Unfortunately, it failed the crown and moved to Ted's Place with a slightly different concept. But it's still cozy and delicious enough. DakAkker, by the way, is open for public events such as harvest festivals, lunches and seminars. We can get married here, too. The bridge, an initiative of the Rotterdam architectural firm ZUS, supported in 2011 by the city municipality, was financed largely by Rotterdam residents themselves through a crowdfunding campaign. De Luchtsingel and Hofbogen became symbols of the Rotterdam revival. And our tour guide Danja showed me "Bridge to the Future", about which in hustle and hassle she knew nothing. Thank him very much. my family and I were on a tour of Rotterdam in the spring of 2019. Danny walked around the city with us. He manage to make this sunny day truly intense. It is huge luck to have someone with you, who knows and lives the city. The story was very informative, but at the same time light and interesting. Even our 7 year old daughter was not bored at all. The time passed by unnoticed, Danya is a wonderful storyteller, it is a pleasure to listen to him, he not only told the story of Rotterdam, especially we were moved by the history of the city during the Second World War, but Danya was also able to convey the spirit of the Rotterdam people, what a hardworking and freedom-loving people they are, we learned what the city lives today. Zhenya showed the city not only from the front side, but also exposed us to places we would definitely never have visited, such as he showed a lot of street art objects with paintings on the walls of houses. It was unexpected and gorgeous.
