Beschrijving
Ontdek het museum door de handen van een professionele lokale gids met licentie in kunstgeschiedenis van de Universiteit van Baskenland. Deze twee uur van bezoek zullen zeer compleet en plezierig zijn, omdat niet alleen de tentoonstellingen van het moment worden bezocht, er zal een rondleiding door de buitenkant zijn, genietend van de beste perspectieven van de architectuur en ook informatie over het Bilbao-motief zal worden ingevoegd als de gekozen plaats voor zijn constructie. Binnen in het gebouw zullen we de permanente en tijdelijke collecties bezoeken die ze via verschillende plaatsen benaderen om het interieurbeeld vanuit alle perspectieven te kunnen waarderen. Omdat het onmogelijk is om het hele museum in zijn geheel te bezoeken, wordt je aan het einde van de tour begeleid om vrij de rest te touren, omdat de ingang je toelaat om het museum op dezelfde dag opnieuw te bezoeken.

We beginnen met het verkennen van de buitenkant en het interieur van het museum, waarbij we een korte introductie geven over de oorsprong van Bilbao en hoe de stad werd gekozen om het laatste grote museum van de twintigste eeuw te huisvesten. We zullen het hebben over de architectuur en de architect Frank Ghery in zijn spectaculaire atrium, vanaf daar zullen we de buitenkant zien praten over de sculpturen en dat ze deel uitmaken van de omgeving. Dan zullen we de tijdelijke tentoonstellingen zien die worden tentoongesteld, die de werken, hun auteurs, hun artistieke neigingen en aspecten die interessant kunnen zijn om de tentoonstellingen beter te begrijpen, verdiepen. Het doel van de ervaring is om dichter bij de kunstwereld te komen, met name hedendaagse kunst, en proberen niet onbekend voor ons te zijn.

The visit covers not only the architechtural features of the museum and its main installations, but it touches the recent history of Bilbao and the origin of the Guggenheim project

Fabulous architecture to a building. Enjoyed viewing the sculptures outside. Only 2 of the 3 floors were showing exhibits. Good place to visit if you like contemporary art. €12 per adult. Can use the city tour bus if you don’t want to walk. Option of having a guided tour but not really needed
