Onze eerste stop bereikt het middeleeuwse kasteel Harburg. Dit is een zeer goed bewaard gebleven barokke constructie. Onze gidsen geven u een overzicht van de dertigjarige oorlog en andere historische gebeurtenissen. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is een charmante en beroemde stad in Beieren, in het zuiden van Duitsland. De vakwerkhuizen, de middeleeuwse Muur rond de stad en de Ploenlein zijn enkele van de attracties die je er vindt. Deze stad is één van de best bewaarde middeleeuwse steden in Beieren en vol inspirerende plekken. Er is voldoende vrije tijd bij elke halte, dus voor de lunch en het verkennen in uw eigen tempo. Kerstversiering vind je het hele jaar door in Rothenburg.

Je avontuur begint in het centrum van München. Spring aan boord van uw bus met airconditioning voor uw reis langs de Romantische Strasse.
Na 1,5 uur ca. je komt aan in Harburg.
Harburg is de thuisbasis van een van de oudste, grootste en best bewaarde kastelen in Zuid-Duitsland, de burcht Harburg. Geniet van een rondleiding door het kasteel alleen in het Engels (optioneel, niet inbegrepen in de tourprijs).
We arriveren om ongeveer 12.00 - 13.00 uur in Rothenburg, de best bewaarde middeleeuwse stad van Europa. Daar kunt u genieten van een lunch (niet inbegrepen), maar ook een bezoek brengen aan de oude stad, stadsmuur, uitkijkpost en andere hoogtepunten. U kunt ongeveer 2 uur Vrije tijd doorbrengen in Rothenburg.
ITh ongeveer 3 - uur rijden terug naar München het s afhankelijk van de file zullen we weer aankomen in Karlsplatz 21 / Stachus - We nemen u mee door de grootste hopteelt regio in de wereld, de Hallertau. Laat u tijdens deze tour verrassen door de prachtige regio Zuid-Duitsland.

Good guide and value, air conditioner did have trouble keeping up with summer

Terrible. I booked a tour in Spanish and the guide spoke in English the whole time. She did not make the slightest attempt to try to communicate with us. It was a fraud
We are sorry that there was a misunderstanding regarding the language of the tour. We would like to clarify that this tour is guided live in English. For other languages, including Spanish, an audio guide may be available depending on availability. This does not mean that the tour guide personally conducts the tour in Spanish. We regret that this did not meet your expectations, but the language format is indicated accordingly in the tour information. We therefore cannot agree with the characterization of the service as fraudulent.
I loved this whole experience but it’s so rushed! Here’s what I recommend to maybe enjoy it a bit more… eat a BIG breakfast better you go. Your first real chance for food is after the castle (castle tour was amazing but there’s zero time to do anything but get back on the bus after). If you pack a lunch you get way more time in Rothenburg which you will absolutely want. We wasted nearly 45 min of our 2.5hrs of free time at a restaurant trying to get food. We wanted to see the Christmas store (packed and super busy), the Castle gardens, and the Crime and Torture museum. Never made it to the gardens because there wasn’t time. Skip the snowballs, they’re dry and tasteless and not worth what you pay for them or the wait to buy one. I do wish this tour was longer as you do not get enough time to visit the little town, not even close, but I do understand it’s a long drive back. If you go on a Sunday like we did, be prepared for some of the shops to be closed as apparently that’s a law in Germany on Sundays. Some tourist places get an exception to this rule but a few key shops were closed (the cute wine store for example).

Jacqueline was our guide on the Gray Line Day Trips tour, and we had a very enjoyable experience. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared a wealth of local history and interesting facts throughout the day. The double-decker bus was comfortable, and the drive to Harburg Castle and Rothenburg was pleasant and scenic. Jacqueline was very well organized and provided brochures and a map of Rothenburg before we arrived. She explained the layout of the village in detail, making it easy for us to explore the city on our own. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi on the bus was not working. Apart from that, everything was excellent, and we highly recommend this tour.

The guide and bus driver were great, kind and efficient even with traffic issues on AB. Drinks are cheeper on the bus. Well worth the trip wish I had more time in rothenburg.

The entire day trip was very well organised and things went off seamlessly. Our guide Patrizia was great , very informative and helpful and gave us alot of details of the surrounding villages along the romantic road as well as the main locations. Our driver Valdimir was very helpful too and we got to keep our two large suitcases on board throughout the day and he even dropped us off at the train station . Overall a great day and a much recommended tour . Thanks !
