De Music Legends Tour of London is je paspoort om enkele van de beroemdste rockmonumenten in de muziekgeschiedenis te bezoeken. De tour neemt je mee naar locaties in Londen die beroemd zijn geworden door The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, Marc Bolan en nog veel meer. Je gids Stephen Channell is een veteraan in de muziekbusiness die 25 jaar voor Warner Music en de BBC heeft gewerkt. Nu een gekwalificeerde London Black Cab-chauffeur kent niemand de straten en de rockgeschiedenis van Londen zoals Stephen dat doet.

Laat je foto maken op de wereldberoemde zebrapad vanaf de exacte plek waar de originele foto werd genomen voor de Abbey Road-covershot. Dit betekent dat je opname er precies hetzelfde uit zal zien als de albumhoes!! Met de hulp van een aantal ongelooflijke visuele hulpmiddelen hoor je alle geweldige verhalen rond deze ongelooflijke studio en de rol die het speelde in de geschiedenis van 's werelds grootste rockband. Helaas is er geen toegang tot de studio's, maar we zullen de Abbey Road Studios-cadeauwinkel bezoeken die een selectie fantastische officiële Beatles-merchandise verkoopt.
Het appartement waar het allemaal begon. Bezoek het appartement waar de Rolling Stones 18 maanden ( 1962/63 ) woonden aan het begin van hun geweldige carrière. Met behulp van enkele ongelooflijke foto's zal ik je laten zien dat dit appartement nauwelijks is veranderd sinds Mick, Keith en Brian er bijna 60 jaar geleden woonden. Let op: er is geen toegang tot de accommodatie,
Bezoek het huis waar Freddie Mercury de laatste 5 jaar van zijn leven heeft doorgebracht. Hoor hoe hij zijn huis en fortuin naliet aan de enige persoon van wie hij hield. Ontdek de wending in het verhaal die zoveel onbeantwoorde vragen laat. Houd er rekening mee dat er geen toegang tot de accommodatie is.
Het Tower House Holland Park is de huidige thuisbasis van Jimmy Page. Bezoek zijn verbazingwekkende gotische huis en hoor met behulp van een aantal ongelooflijke visuele hulpmiddelen hoe Jimmy dit Victoriaanse gotische meesterwerk nauwgezet heeft gerestaureerd. Houd er rekening mee dat Jimmy veel tijd doorbrengt in deze accommodatie. Ik heb hem een paar keer buiten zijn huis ontmoet en hij vertrouwt erop dat ik zijn privacy niet verstoor. Er is geen toegang tot het pand en we moeten respectvol zijn als hij of zijn partner, familie of vrienden het gebouw binnenkomen of verlaten.
De dood van Hendrix. Bezoek het appartement waar op 18 september 1970 Jimi Hendrix zijn laatste adem uitblies. Was het een ongeluk? Was het zelfmoord? Of is hij vermoord? Je zult al het bewijs horen en dan kun je je eigen besluit nemen. Let op: er is geen toegang tot het gebouw
The Beatles laatste optreden ooit vanaf het dak van het Apple Corporation HQ, 3 Saville Row, London W1. Zie waar The Beatles voor de allerlaatste keer live speelden op het dak van hun Apple Corporations-hoofdkwartier in het hart van het Londense West End. Hoor met behulp van een aantal fantastische visuele hulpmiddelen hoe John Lennon de band vaarwel zwaaide "Bedankt voor uw komst en ik hoop dat we de auditie hebben doorstaan". Dit gebouw is nu een Abercrombie & Fitch-winkel, dus er is toegang tot het gebouw, maar niet tot het dak.
Waar Ziggy gitaar speelde! Kijk waar David Bowie stond voor de albumhoes van Ziggy Stardust. Sinds zijn dood in 2016 is dit een heiligdom geworden voor Bowie-fans van over de hele wereld om hun respect te betuigen aan de 'Thin White Duke'. Er is een extra speciale verrassing bij dit monument dat alle Bowie-fans zal verbazen.
Trident Studio's. Sta buiten de legendarische Trident Studios en voel de sfeer die wordt gecreëerd door een gebouw dat veel van 's werelds beste opnames heeft geproduceerd. Het kost veel tijd om alle geweldige platen op te noemen die hier zijn opgenomen. Van Major Tom tot The Yellow Brick Road, het is een appèl dat je gewoon niet zult geloven!

This was the best tour I have ever been on! Steve picks you up, takes you on an amazing 4 hour tour, then drops you off at your hotel, etc. You spend those hours in a comfy cab with A/C. Steve imparts a world of knowledge and cool stories about the rock scene in London and other interesting facts about the city. You make periodic stops to take pictures at relevant spots, including Abbey Road Studios! We had a blast and learned so much! Highly, highly recommend!
Always a great time! This was my second time in the Rock Cab! Steve is so accommodating and laid back. He's so knowledgeable and truly loves his job! The stops are fun and a part of music history! Will book again in the future.
Steve is a joy full of rock-n-roll stories and in his element while tootling through London in the back of his taxi. I was surprised by the amount of content he packed in complete with laminated pictures and others from his iPad. It’s a million times more satisfying hearing geodesic dome stories and more outside Sir Paul’s wooden gate than just snapping a photo and staring at the gate. Thank you for the lovely afternoon, Steve!
My husband and I are both huge fans of the Beatles and artists from the 60s and 70s. We saw all the sights connected with them such as Abbey Road, EMI, Paul’s house in St John’s Wood plus many others too numerous to mention. It was also great to see some sights of London we wouldn’t have if not for Steve pointing them out. Highlight of our short time in London. Thanks so much Steve - we are your biggest fans!
Rock Cab Tours was a blast! Steve was very attentive and communicative all throughout the process. He contacted me before the tour just to confirm everything was still a go. He picked us up directly at our hotel. Once we started the tour, he was so informative about all the locations we went to. It was really fun talking with him about the history of all the London rock legends! Lots of stops along the way to get out and take pictures. I’m a huge Beatles fan and Steve took a video of us walking across Abbey Road and gave us plenty of time to visit the Abbey Road gift shop. He even supplied us with sharpies to write on the wall! Steve provided pictures of the legends in the iconic places we went to such as the Rolling Stones house, Ringo’s house (where Jimi Hendrix stayed for a while), Jimmy Page’s house, and lots more. The pictures added a nice dimension to what we were seeing-then and now! Steve was extremely personable and you can tell he has fun talking about the rock legends and history. It was really fun bantering with him about all the history. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this enjoyable and informative tour!

Steve, the rock and roll cabbie was the highlight of my trip! Book him early and you’ll have an amazing time hearing stories from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s and beyond while seeing so many cool historical sites and famous homes. He’s so fun to hang with, and his love for London and music is infectious.

Our rock-and-roll tour of London was the highlite of our visit. Riding through the city while learning about its incredible musical history brought London's legendary rock scene to life. From the stories of Jimmy Hendrix, Freddy Mercury, and the Beatles to visiting the venues where iconic performances took place, the neighborhoods where these artists lived, and launched their careers, every step was fascinating. Whaat truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Steve. He was friendly, personable, and clearly passionate about both London and its music history. His knowlege was impressive, and he knew exactly where to park so we could maximize our time at each location. Steve's great sense of humor, professionalism and engaging storytelling kept the tour entertaining from start to finish. Whether you are a lifelong rock fan or simply interested in London's cultural history, this tour is a fantastic experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for the city's enormous influence on rock music and a collection of memories well be talking about for years. Highly recommended and if you are lucky enogh to get Steve as your guide, you're in for a real treat.
