Beschrijving
Een unieke manier om het stedelijke artistieke leven van de stad te leren kennen, een kans om een ander Rio de Janeiro te leren kennen aan de stranden van Copacabana. Maak ook kennis met de architectuur en transformatie van de voormalige hoofdstad van het land, en begrijp hoe de Carioca-levensstijl werd geboren. Een eenvoudige manier om de stad te integreren zonder je een toerist en een simpele liefhebber van kunst te voelen. Elk deel van de stad heeft een andere cultuur en het stadscentrum is waar alle culturen elkaar ontmoeten.

We nemen de metro naar de wijk Glória, daar beginnen we onze tour met het overwegen van de eerste gelegaliseerde graffiti in Rio, dan zullen we de Europese architecturale invloed zien in de stad Rio; voorbij de Selaron-trap; we namen de tram naar het etinia-paneel (de grootste graffitimuurschildering ter wereld.) en kwamen uit bij het museum van morgen
Laten we naar de derde meest bezochte toeristische plek in de stad gaan, de Selarón-trap.
In cinelandia zien we de belangrijkste bibliotheken en het belangrijkste theater van de stad. En dan nemen we de VLT (openbaar vervoer) naar de Olympic Boulevard.
We zijn aangekomen op de Olympische Boulevard, de thuisbasis van de belangrijkste musea van de stad.
We eindigen onze tour in Porto Maravilha, waar je de grootste graffiti muurschildering ter wereld ziet.

Great tour in the old town of Rio with excellent guide (Wellington) in a small group. On foot and by tram. The guide gave us a lot of valuable information and showed us the best places with street art far away from mass tourism. Really impressive. Graduation from Escadaria Selaron in the tourist hubbub... Very worthwhile. Anytime again!

A most enjoyable few hours with our guide Wellington, viewing street art in Rio. Saw a lot of things we’d never have found on our own. As well as putting the artwork in context he told us a lot about the history of the city, politics, architecture, Carnival & Samba schools. Felt it was much more informative & got a much better insight into the city than sitting on a coach having things pointed out. We finished our tour at the rainbow stairs, where Wellington pointed out a few of his favourite places to eat & as a result we finished off with a really fab lunch amongst locals. Highly recommended.

Wellington gave an outstanding tour. He clearly explained the significance of the graffiti murals and architectural elements.His tour was quite comprehensive and included many different neighborhoods and artistic styles. I really enjoyed my experience in “Little Africa”. He had extensive knowledge of the to social and political issues related to specific art pieces. Wellington speaks excellent English and even gave me a chance to practice my portuguese! I highly recommend Wellington’s tour to anyone interested in street art, architecture, murals and afro-Brazilian culture.
