Bezoekers bezoeken een interactieve tentoonstelling met het verhaal van de echte piraat "Black Sam" Bellamy en zijn legendarische geliefde Maria Hallett. Bezoekers kunnen echte piratenschatten zien en aanraken vanaf het wrak van Bellamy's schip, de Whydah Gally. De Whydah was een tot piratenschip omgebouwd slavenschip dat in 1717 na een hevige storm voor de kust van Cape Cod verging. Artefacten en echte schatten zijn uit de bodem van de oceaan gehaald...omgeven door haaien...na de ontdekking van de scheepsbel in 1984 door de beroemde onderwaterontdekkingsreiziger Barry Clifford. De tentoonstelling wordt regelmatig vernieuwd met de ontdekking van nieuwe artefacten door plaatselijke archeologen die bezoekers met eigen ogen kunnen aanschouwen. Een video-, foto-ervaring en retail-cadeauwinkel ronden het bezoek af. Groepen zijn welkom.

This place was absolutely amazing! Captain Johnny Depths was fantastic—you can tell he genuinely loves what he does and is incredibly knowledgeable. The exhibits were fascinating, and seeing authentic pirate artifacts and real pirate treasure was such a unique experience. If you're visiting the area, this is definitely a must-see attraction. Highly recommend—10/10! 🏴☠️✨

We found this to be a fascinating museum. It's specific to one ship wreck and the associated captain and crew, but very detailed. There are numerous actual artifacts that were recovered and well as some cast replicas. You got to learn about the various crew mates, life on the ocean in general, a pirate's way of life, etc. as you went through. At the end you get a satisfying update on how each of the pirates fared after this particular excursion. Highly recommend a visit.

We took our 7-year-old son here for an educational outing, and he thoroughly enjoyed himself, asking numerous questions. Despite its small size, the museum is suitable for both adults and children. We were captivated by the pictures and artifacts which then prompted some good discussions!

Great orientation built into first entering the exhibit area. The exhibits themselves were informative and well labeled. There is one interactive exhibit for tying knots that was fun to try out. Part of the museum is built like a ship you walkthrough which is pretty cool. It took us about 2 hours to walk through the museum as adults reading everything.

I spent way way too much time in there by myself. I’m a museum curator and I was so impressed by how much care was put into displaying the story historically and accurately and the detail provided in the exhibits themselves. I am so impressed and I now want to learn EVERYTHING about pirates. Definitely worth the money. Cap’n Johnny Depths was also a blast, very good at his job.
