Ravello, gelegen aan de kust van Amalfi, is een betoverende bestemming die intellectuelen, kunstenaars en muzikanten uit de 19e eeuw fascineerde. Het was hier dat Richard Wagner het tweede bedrijf van Parsifal componeerde. Deze middeleeuwse stad ligt 365 meter boven de Tyrrheense Zee. Tijdens je bezoek verken je de prachtige villa's in de stad, waaronder Villa Rufolo, waar jaarlijks het beroemde "Ravello Festival" wordt gehouden, en Villa Cimbrone, beroemd om zijn pittoreske uitkijktoren die bekend staat als het Terras van de Oneindigheid. Zoals Nobelprijswinnaar literatuurlaureaat André Gide het ooit treffend verwoordde: 'Ravello is dichter bij de hemel dan ver van de kust'. Very educational and fun tour. Our guide Paola was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of her experience growing up in the area. She even made us a video of our tour set to Dean Martin's "Thats Amore" song. Highly recommend you take this tour and have Paola as your guide.
