Natuurpark Cantareira is een van de grootste bewaarde bosgebieden in de stedelijke perimeter van de wereld en nodigt u uit om de fascinerende Macuco Trail en Waterfall Trail te doen, bij Engordador Nucleus. Naast de paden bezoeken we ook het oudere watervoorzieningssysteem van de stad São Paulo, dat op de monumentenlijst staat en het complex "Casa da Bomba" en de Cantareira-dam omvat. Uitstekende tour voor natuurliefhebbers die op zoek zijn naar een moment om te ontspannen in de buurt van een grote stad.

Aangekomen in het natuurpark Cantareira, brengen we een bezoek aan het hoofdkwartier van het park, waar we het interpretatiecentrum van fauna en flora van het park zullen bezoeken. Na de bezoeken beginnen we aan de Macuco en Waterfall Trail en daarna bezoeken we het complex dat deel uitmaakte van het eerste watervoorzieningssysteem van São Paulo City; Voorafgaand aan de activiteit zal de gids enkele veiligheids- en gedragsinstructies tijdens de wandeling uitleggen en dan beginnen we aan de Macuco Trail, ongeveer 1 km lang, waar we enkele soorten fauna en flora van de regio zullen observeren; Daarna gaan we verder naar de Waterfall Trail, ongeveer 4 km lang, waar we de rivier de Engordador op verschillende punten oversteken met stops voor foto's en de mogelijkheid om te baden in 2 verschillende watervallen, "Engordador" en "Cachoeira Véu da Noiva" watervallen; Bij terugkomst van de wandelingen bezochten we het uitkijkpunt van de dam en het Pump House-complex, een oud watervoorzieningssysteem van São Paulo waar we de activiteit beëindigden.
Het tweede deel van onze wandeling vindt plaats bij Núcleo Pedra Grande, waar we ongeveer 8 km zullen wandelen om het koi-meer te bezoeken en met als hoogste punt van de tour de Pedra Grande (The Big Stone), het is een uitkijkpunt met een prachtig uitzicht op de stad São Paulo. De activiteit eindigt bij het hoofdkwartier van het park vanwaar we terugkeren naar São Paulo.

Mauricio was an excellent guide and the tout was wonderful - we have seen a lot of beautiful birds, butterflies, trees - the nature was very beautiful and tropical - and I liked very much. The hiking was also easy to do. I am recommending this tour to everybody coming to Sao Paolo

Absolutely amazing experience!! The hike, the caves, the waterfall, the flora and fauna - every moment was splendid. It was not crowded so that made it so much better. Samuel our tour guide was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and guided us at the right pace. Highly recommend!

Booked 48 hours out & had confirmation and booking numbers. We called and left messages to this company via WhatsApp and through Viators chat system. They wouldn’t return messages or calls. We just wanted to know who was picking us up since it was our 1st time in Brazil. At 1:AM the morning of the trip, this company sends a cancellation and said it was Viators fault cause Viator didn’t send them the confirmation number. But we supplied them all of the info via chat and WhatsApp days before the trip. Anyway, they blamed viator but didn’t know that I had a viator rep also try to call them and they never responded. I’m sorry but any company that won’t return messages after a customer purchasing their tour, shouldn’t be trusted. I don’t know if the company is lying or viator but I do know that I have the company the confirmation and booking number and when they received that info, if thwy did t know that I bought it , should’ve just asked questions from all of the calls and WhatsApp messages and text I had sent them a few days before the trip. Let’s be real, who doesn’t respond to their customers for over 2 days? Now we can’t book anything because the company decided to cancel at 1am the morning of the trip. That’s not reliable or trusting. After all this mess, I wouldn’t even feel comfortable going with them on a trip because someone is lying about what happened and I feel they just didn’t care about responding about our reservation. DONT TAKE YOUR FAMILY ON A TOUR WITH A COMPANY THAT CANT BE TRUSTED! In a way I’m glad I found out the way that I did. Book some Other tour with a different company other than VIATOR or Vida e Energia Viagens e Turismo! Just don’t bother. March 3, 2024

Mauricio our wonderful and extremely knowledgeable tour guide looked at us and knew we weren’t prepared for the tour we signed up for and kindly offered us a private city tour which was outstanding. His knowledge of São Paulo and insight saved the entire trip for us. Best tour guide ever!
