Cruise over Lake Whakatipu naar Walter Peak High Country Farm. Stap aan boord van de Spirit of Queenstown, een moderne catamaran met een bar met licentie waar u een drankje of 2 kunt kopen voor uw reis. Eenmaal aan het Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant aan het meer kunt u genieten van de heerlijke aroma’s terwijl de chef-kok de beste lokale producten op de grill heeft liggen. Het buffet bestaat uit salades, groenten en sappig lokaal vlees gekookt op de houtgestookte BBQ. Er wordt een breed scala aan heerlijke desserts aangeboden, waaronder een breed scala aan vers brood en kaas. Met uitzicht op Lake Whakatipu en het alpiene landschap van Queenstown is de Colonel's Homestead at Walter Peak de perfecte plek om een paar uur door te brengen. The boat ride and the bbq lunch was fantastic!! The top of the boat was a bit ‘fresh’ really did need beanie and scarf, but the views were stunningly beautifu
Food was good and dessert was delicious. The view was wonderful could only wish the boat ride was a little bit longer

Great Experience. The boat is a coal fired steam ship built in the early 1900s. It took us over to Walter's Peak for a BBQ Dinner. The dinner and atmosphere were both enjoyable. Great selection of meats, desserts, salad bar.

This was a nice lake cruise followed by a pleasant buffet lunch and a basic sheep shear and dog droving show. All very basic and pleasant but not outstanding. Nevertheless it is a good day out even if slightly overpriced
Very well organized! Dinner was in a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful view. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. The farm show was informative and educational. All in all a great experience!
Nothing against the activity as we didn’t actually get to complete. There is a process issue with the Viator app and the actual operator RealNZ as they don’t reflect or communicate the same message but we as the customer are expected to know who is who when they use stupid names like magpie when messaging through the app. I feel that the Manager I dealt with from RealNZ Brooke was absolutely condescending and outright rude, no empathy at all shown just blame directed towards myself. Unfortunately, I have used this app previously with no issues but the experience I have had here has completely put me off using it again. It is also linked to a corporate rewards program with my international workplace so I will be also advising it to be dropped from there as well so no other team members in my company have to go through what I experienced.
To be rugged up sitting up top was very cold The meal was delicious the meat just melted in your mouth 💙💗
What can I say? Outstanding local produce & wine, fabulous staff, fantastic sheep-shearing show - thank you Mist & Echo - and breathtaking views both on the cruise and at the farm! Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food and scenery, you won't find this anywhere else in the world!
