Prachtige landschappen, de Grote Zuidelijke Alpen strekken zich uit met een turkoois water van de karstrivieren die uit hen stromen, rotsachtige velden vol mediterrane vruchten en groenten, zon en stenen, aromatische kruiden, unieke wijnen, het traditionele warme welkom van de lokale bevolking - allemaal dit wacht om ontdekt te worden.

De stad is een van de oudste permanente nederzettingen in Bosnië en Herzegovina, die bijna 4000 jaar teruggaat; de stad in haar huidige incarnatie die opkwam als een belangrijke stad aan het einde van de 14e eeuw.
Mostar ligt aan de rivier de Neretva en is de op twee na grootste stad van het land. Mostar is vernoemd naar de brugwachters (mostari) die in de middeleeuwen de Stari Most (oude brug) over de Neretva bewaakten. De oude brug, gebouwd door de Ottomanen in de 16e eeuw, is een van de meest bezochte bezienswaardigheden van Bosnië en Herzegovina en wordt beschouwd als een voorbeeldig stuk islamitische architectuur op de Balkan.
Blagaj Tekija is een Derwisjklooster buiten Mostar, Bosnië, dat bijna 600 jaar oud is. Gelegen aan de voet van een klif, naast de bron van de rivier de Buna, is het een unieke en pittoreske reeks gebouwen die er in persoon nog beter uitziet dan op foto's.
Deze unieke nederzetting, die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat en de recente reconstructie heeft de stad teruggebracht naar zijn oorspronkelijke vorm. Het werd voor het eerst genoemd in 1444 maar sommige documenten laten zien dat het in de late 14de eeuw werd gebouwd op bevel van de Bosnische koning Tvrtko. Naast de prachtige oriëntaalse architectuur en het Ottomaanse gevoel, biedt Pocitelj onderdak aan de langst werkende kunstkolonie in Zuidoost-Europa.
De Kravice-watervallen, oorspronkelijk bekend als de Kravica-watervallen, zijn een van de mooiste natuurlijke locaties in de Herzegovische regio Bosnië en Herzegovina. Gelegen aan de rivier de Trebižat, stroomt het van een bijzonder grote tufsteenkalkafzetting en naar het meer daaronder. Het hele gebied wordt beschermd door de deelstaatregering, maar het staat open voor het lokale publiek en toeristen voor bezoeken, picknicken, kamperen en zelfs zwemmen. Het hele gebied is vol groen met kale bomen, populieren en vijgen rondom. Zelfs de tufsteenformaties zijn groen met dikke korstmossen, mos en gras overal om hen heen. Er zijn nauwelijks door de mens gemaakte formaties in de buurt van de watervallen om de volledige natuurlijke omgeving van de locatie te verstoren.

Mak was a great tour guide - a local to Sarajevo his personal experiences helped us to really understand the complicated history. Arts and Tours was accommodating to our need to shorten the tour and Mak still helped us see the highlights of Herzegovina without making anything feel rushed! I would recommend any tour to get to know both Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was a really lovely day and the tour guide, Adis, was very knowledgable about the history of Bosnia. Each part of the trip was beautiful and even though you visit many places, you have the time to take in the beauty. The Blagaj Tekke was definitely a highlight. Adis would check in regularly asking if we needed more time in any place or if there was anything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
Adis was an amazing tour guide who made that day our favourite on the trip. It was full of laughter, happiness and knowledge so would definitely recommend him to anyone who is coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was very well educated and passionate on the history of Bosnia and was able to answer all of our questions.
We booked this private tour, our tour guide was Muki. We had a fantastic day trip seeing all the sights. Muki was excellent and shared so much history and knowledge about Bosnia - he was very friendly and helpful. Mostar was amazing as were the waterfalls and the other stops along the way. We had our tour with Muki. He was a great tour guide and very patient and flexible. Mostar your was incredible and well worth it. Only thing to note is that Mostar is atleast 10 degrees hotter than sarajevo. We went at the height of summer where it was 40 degrees. Other than that everything was wonderful and would recommend!
We did the full day Mostar tour with Mak and what an amazing experience. First of all it’s a small group and hence you don’t waste time. Then Mak knows exactly how to beat the traffic and the crowd, took some amazing photos, gave us so much information about the history and crowned our experience with a delicious traditional roast lamb lunch on a table with a superb view of the river valley. We also had the freshest pomegranate juice and dried fruit in Pocitelj. Thank you Mak for sharing your beautiful country with us.

My and my daughter had 2 tours with Bakir Becirbegovic and we were really well taken care of. The tours were very informative and in between the stops we had a lot of engaging and interesting conversations about all kinds of subjects. We learned a lot! Bakir Becirbegovic is a very openminded and not stuck in past grievances and with people like him there is actually some hope for this very complicated country.
