Private Ollantaytambo, Pisac Ruins Tour met boerderijbezoek, Gourmet Picnic Lunch

Deze tour bezoekt twee verbazingwekkende Inca-ruïnes in de Heilige Vallei: Ollantaytambo en Pisac. Je krijgt een privérondleiding door deze sites en leert enorm veel over de Inca-geschiedenis terwijl je majestueuze uitzichten op de Heilige Vallei aanschouwt. We zullen dan een lokale boerderij bezoeken waar we lokale groenten en fruit vers van het land zullen proeven en de cavia's zullen voeren die in bijna elk lokaal huis worden gehouden als een bron van warmte en voedsel. Terwijl u door de boerderij toert, bereidt onze privé-kok een gastronomische, gezonde biologische lunch voor met lokale Peruaanse producten, waaronder enkele van onze eigen gewassen. Vervolgens bezoeken we een lokale niet-toeristische markt in Urubamba om te zien hoe de lokale bevolking hun producten en andere goederen verkoopt. Ten slotte bezoeken we de terrasvormige ruïnes van Pisac en leren we over deze verbazingwekkende religieuze, astronomische en militaire site.

Ophalen om 8.00 uur bij uw hotel in Ollantaytambo, vanuit Cusco om 7.00 uur met privé vervoer, we bezoeken de Inca ruïnes in Ollantaytambo, wat het onderdak was van de Inca keizer Pachacutec en later diende als militair controlepunt voor de Inca's die de wegen naar Machu Picchu probeerden te beschermen tegen de binnenvallende Spanjaarden. Geniet van een rondleiding door de terrasvormige ruïnes, fonteinen en aquaducten en bekijk opslaghuizen die door de Inca's werden gebruikt om de wind te maximaliseren om gewassen koel en bewaard te houden. We hebben dan de tijd om door de straten van een van de oudste steden van Peru te dwalen, waar vandaag de dag nog veel 15e eeuwse Inca-gebouwen staan.
We rijden dan 20 minuten naar de stad Yanahuara waar we een boerderij in de Heilige Vallei bezoeken, waar we door de landbouwgronden zullen toeren, alfalfa zullen snijden om de cavia's te voeren en uit de eerste hand zien hoe chicha wordt gemaakt. Dit wordt gevolgd door een privé-gastronomische picknicklunch, bereid door onze chef-kok en met lokale biologische producten, waaronder enkele van onze eigen gewassen. Geniet buiten van een ontspannen lunch terwijl u uitkijkt over de Heilige Vallei. Na de lunch gaan we naar de lokale authentieke niet-toeristische markt in Urubamba. Hier zullen we lokale families dingen zien verkopen zoals fruit, groenten, bloemen en natuurlijke geneeskrachtige planten. Je gids geeft je een rondleiding over de markt en je kunt Peruaans fruit en voedsel proeven, zoals passievrucht, lucuma en chirimoya. We zullen ook leren over de ingrediënten die nodig zijn om chicha te maken, een maïsbier dat sinds de Inca-tijd een belangrijk onderdeel is van de Peruaanse cultuur.
Daarna rijden we een uur naar de majestueuze ruïnes van Pisac, waar we terrasvormige Inca-ruïnes bezoeken die hoog op een berg liggen. Vanaf hier klimmen we naar de top van de ruïnes en genieten we van een fantastisch uitzicht op de Heilige Vallei.Je gids zal je leren over de religieuze, astronomische en militaire functies van de site en de terrassen bekijken waardoor de Inca's voedsel konden verbouwen boven de 11.000 voeten. Na een bezoek aan de Inca-ruïnes, krijg je de kans om te wandelen op een weinig bekend, zelden gebruikt origineel Inca-pad en door een tunnel die door de Inca's is gebouwd. Een van de grootste Inca-begraafplaatsen bevindt zich ook in de ruïnes van Pisac en we kunnen ook dit deel van de site bezoeken. We sluiten de tour af met een reis naar de ambachtsmarkt van Pisac in de stad om dingen te bekijken als keramiek, sieraden en weven. I honestly can't say enough good things about our time with Valetin, Simon and Kenny in Peru. Valentin welcomed us like family and was so proud to show us his beautiful country everyday. Wonderful private tour with Valentin's Pachamama Lunch. All was coordinated seamlessly as we were picked up at our hotel in Cusco, taken to Chinchero weaving collaborative, Pisac Ruins, the Salt Mines, Ollantaytambo, and provided a gourmet lunch on Valentin's family farm. We asked to customize our tour with a Chica making experience as well, and we had a wonderful time visiting the family's guinea pigs, helping to start a chicha batch, drinking the chica together, and learning about traditional agriculture in the region. My parents also loved the tour and said it was the most down-to-earth and authentic tour experience they had ever had. Really wonderful way to see the region's tourist highlights and also learn how the locals live.

Valentín and his family hosted us for 5 days, including a 2-day Inca Trail experience and the ruins and markets and farms of the sacred valley. They were awesome. Spoke perfect English and were very prompt and helpful, friendly and fun to be with. Valentin is very, very knowledgable about Peru. It was so great having a guide who grew up in the Sacred Valley and knows the locals. It was so informative to learn about the day-to-day life of the Andean villages (e.g. diet, weather, economy, agriculture). If you want an in-depth and thorough understanding of this wonderful region of Peru, this is a great tour to take.

They took care kf every detail and everything felt so personalized and stress free . Valentin was so proud to share his wonderful country with us and it showed every day. My girlfriend and I’s bags were lost so we couldn’t hike the trail, but Valentin made sure we had everything we needed and helped us fill the time lost with some other great excursions to make up for the trail.
