Inzicht in de wens van veel toeristen om rustige dorpen te bezoeken aan de Mekong rivier - we raden dit pakket ten zeerste aan aan Bến Tre town. Dit is anders dan de andere Mekong-tours. Je zult niet veel toeristen zien rondlopen, je bent niet gehaast om de route te volgen. In plaats daarvan zul je genieten van elk moment van aanraking in het echte leven door eenvoudig te fietsen langs groene velden, te rijden in een met de hand gerijpte sampan gekoeld door zachte zuidelijke briesjes, of met een lekker kokosnoot sap in het zonlicht van dit tropische land.

We halen u rond 8.00 uur op bij uw hotel en brengen u in ongeveer 2 uur naar de stad Bến Tre. Bij aankomst gaan we aan boord van een motorboot op een van de zijrivieren van de Mekong rivier en bezoeken onderweg levendige activiteiten. Uw bezoeken omvatten:
* Steenovens: ze verrijzen in clusters van bijenkorfvormige constructies die elk jaar in handige, traditionele stijl miljoenen stenen produceren. Ze bieden een fascinerende blik op een lokale industrie. * Workshop kokosnootverwerking: zie stap voor stap hoe je kokossnoepjes en kokosolie maakt; geniet van wat snoepjes en kokossap.
* Bezoek aan een lokale familie, kijk waar ze traditionele matten maken en geniet van wat fruit en thee. Het is een kans om met de lokale bevolking in contact te komen en meer te weten te komen over het leven op het platteland. * Maak een motorkar- of fietstocht over schaduwrijke wegen, passeer groene velden en groenteplantages en leer meer over de tropische cultuur van de dorpsbewoners. * Een 5-gangenlunch geserveerd in een restaurant aan de rivier met specialiteiten zoals olifantsoorvis, loempia's... u kunt ook vooraf aanvragen als u vegetariër bent, voedselallergieën heeft of halal hanteert. * Met de hand roeiende sampan: geniet van wat de lokale bevolking te bieden heeft terwijl ze je sampan met de hand roeien langs het schaduwrijke, luchtige kanaal. We rijden terug naar Sài Gòn en zetten u rond 17.00 uur af bij uw hotel.

We did the full-day tour of the Mekong Delta with Luan/Ethan as our guide. Luan was a great tour guide, making sure we are well informed and looked after on the trip. He was very good in explaining (in English) all the details. We visited coconut candy factory, honey bee farm (tasters included) and had the best lunch! Will definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic full-day Mekong River tour with Asianalink – definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Hung, made the experience truly special. The best travel tour experience, the best tour guide and wonderful place. The tour guide is very interactive, informative and always there to assist us. We learn a lot from him about thr culture, history and tradition. Mekong Delta is a great place to enjoy too.

We took two tours, one at the Mekong Delta with Dominic and a walking tour of Ho Chi Minh with Joey. Both the guides were fantastic, friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Both had great recommendations for restaurants, cafes, and places to see. Would highly recommend this tour company if this is your first time in Vietnam!
