Nationale moskee (Masjid Negara) is een van de meest bekende en meest bezochte plaatsen in Kuala Lumpur met een capaciteit van 15.000 mensen en ligt te midden van 13 hectare aan prachtige tuinen. De oorspronkelijke structuur is ontworpen door een team van drie personen van de afdeling openbare werken: de Britse architect Howard Ashley en de Maleisiërs Hisham Albakri en Baharuddin Kassim. De moskee is een gedurfde en moderne benadering van gewapend beton, symbolisch voor de ambities van een toenmalig onafhankelijk Maleisië.
Central Market is nooit een markt te missen in Kuala Lumpur waar je lokale souvenirs en handwerk voor je geliefden kunt kopen.

Overrated, dirty, dangerous! Fell down the slippery wet steps, no first aid people available, god knows what happens if you break a limb.
This was a wonderful way to start my trip to Malaysia. Jennifer was an excellent guide, showing real warmth, charm and humour throughout. She picked me up at my hotel and we headed straight for Batu Caves. As we left quite early, we were able to beat the crowds and I enjoyed my time there. After this, we went to a Batik workshop where we were shown how the experts do it before having the opportunity to try ourselves. Central Market was another highlight of the trip. This quaint little market showcases local crafts and cuisine. There are some nice cafes in the building itself and food stalls outside. I was given a glimpse of 'Little India' enroute to the Thean Hou Temple. The vibrant colour and beautiful architecture mean that this stunning place will last long in the memory. We also visited the main Mosque during the tour. I highly recommend this trip to anyone, not only because of the places that you visit. What made this a truly special trip was the extra mile that Jennifer went in ensuring that you were engaged at all times and had a thorough introduction to the history, culture, people and food of the city and beyond. A first class trip in every way.

Ashok provised us with a lot of information around the sights we visited and gave us many practical tips whilst being very flexible in terms of our time spent at each event. Jag was our tour guide., comfortable car, punctual and very informative. We learnt so much about Kuala Lumpur and its culture from Jag. It was also the day of an England World Cup football game and Jag kept us updated on the score throughout! Would most definitely recommend both this trip and our excellent tour guide to anyone thinking about going. We felt it covered all the main attractions and he was also quite willing to adjust the trip if we had already seen any of it.
Louis is the best guide/driver ever! He showed us lots of places we really enjoyed. He told us the history and background of these places. He's very knowledgeable and considerate of our needs. I don't know if it's possible to request Viator to ask specifically for Louis. If you can please do and you won't regret it.

There was only myself and my guide Luis on the trip, which was fine by me as I don’t like large group tours. We visited all the places of interest and Luis was able to give some good history on the various places.
