Meer dan een derde van mijn leven in Hoi An heeft me diepe gevoelens en begrip gegeven over dit land dat ooit de drukste commerciële haven van Vietnam was. Loop met me mee door de oude straten, de huizen die honderden jaren oud zijn, de vergaderzalen die vroeger de spirituele plekken waren van binnen- en buitenlandse kooplieden, of de met Japan bedekte brug om de mysterieuze schoonheid en diepe charme van meer dan honderd jaar te voelen van Hoi An. Niet alleen beroemd om zijn geschiedenis, maar Hoi An is ook een geweldige plek om de traditionele lokale gerechten van Vietnam te ontdekken! Je krijgt de kans om onmisbare gerechten te proberen in Hoi An. Kun je geloven dat we de geschiedenis, cultuur en keuken van Hoi An in 4 uur zullen ontdekken? Bezoek White Rose restaurant, zie hoe je een White Rose dumpling maakt en probeer dit speciale gerecht
Je bezoekt de Chinese Assembly Hall die werd gebouwd in 1696 en een van de oudste Chinese verzamelplaatsen is. Misschien heb je de kans om een wierookstokje in een cirkel te branden om wensen te doen
Bezoek het oudste oude huis dat werd gebouwd door een Chinese handelaar en leer over het verhaal van de White Rose dumplings!
Na een lange wandeling stoppen we bij een traditionele lokale theeplaats genaamd Mot. Probeer speciale lokale kruidenthee die je echt fris en koel zal laten voelen
Bezoek de grootste lokale markt in Hoi An. Je krijgt de kans om met lokale mensen te onderhandelen en daar iets te kopen. Of loop er gewoon doorheen en kijk hoe Vietnamees winkelen!
Weet je dat er 3 dingen zijn die je moet proberen in Hoi An. Het zijn Banh Mi, White Rose en Cao Lau. We stoppen bij een lokaal restaurant en proberen Cao Lau - Speciale traditionele noedels zijn alleen te vinden in Hoi An!
De Japanse overdekte brug is een iconisch iets in Hoi An. Dit zal een grote vergissing zijn als je deze plek mist. Volg de lokale gids en luister naar de verhalen van deze beroemde bestemming!
Probeer de lokale pannenkoek, Banh Xeo. Dit soort cake is erg populair in Hoi An. Tijdens onze reis ben je een lokaal persoon en probeer je ook dit lokale eten. Dit zullen onvergetelijke herinneringen aan Hoi An zijn.
Doe mee met een traditioneel bingospel in Hoi An genaamd Bai Choi. Elke avond begint Bai Choi om 19.00 uur en trekt veel toeristen en lokale mensen aan om mee te doen aan het spel. Het doel van dit spel is niet om grote beloningen te verdienen, maar om te blijven en te luisteren naar de Bai Choi-melodie. Dit ding wordt een onderdeel van Hoi An erfgoed

It was good; however, it is good to realize that most of the spaces in Old Town are now shops, cafes or coffee houses, not a lot of original buildings to see. The assembly halls were nice; the food was great!!! Tony was a great guide!!!
Great food whilst hearing about the history and traditions of Hoi An, Eric was a sensational guide I really enjoyed this experience.

One of the highlights of our trip to Hoi An was our food and hidden gems tour with Eric. It was a perfect blend of eating stops interspersed with exploring historical sites. We suggest you show up HUNGRY as each of the local Hoi An dishes we had was delicious and a good sized portion. Eric was also able to ensure our food choices could accommodate a vegetarian and some food allergies. Eric was knowledgeable and so personable. We had a ton of laughs and learned a lot at the same time. What’ a perfect way to explore Hoi An!
Eric is an AMAZING tour guide! He is extremely hard-working, very friendly, and a local in Hoi An. He was FUN and insightful, and my wife and I had some FANTASTIC conversations about cultural differences and similarities.
