Tijdens deze tour met privévervoer bezoeken we de noordkust van Taiwan, inclusief een merkwaardig geologisch park met verbazingwekkende rotsformaties, een klein stadje met een waterval genaamd de "Kleine Niagara van Taiwan", en Jiufen, een pittoresk stadje in de berg dat lijkt op iets uit de film “Spirited Away” van meester Hayao Miyazaki.

In de ochtend halen we je op in je hotel en gaan we richting de noordkust van Taiwan om Yehliu te bezoeken, een geologisch park met talloze rotsformaties met verrassende figuren, het resultaat van mariene erosie door de eeuwen heen.
Na een bezoek aan Yehliu gaan we de bergen van Noord-Taiwan in om de Shifen-waterval te ontdekken, ook wel de “Kleine Niagara van Taiwan” genoemd. Een natuurwonder dat je buiten adem zal laten. Met een indrukwekkende hoogte van 20 meter en een majestueuze breedte van 40 meter biedt deze waterval een visueel en auditief spektakel dat je onderdompelt in de grandeur van de natuur.
Tenslotte bezoeken we het fotostadje Jiufen. Dit kleine stadje ligt op de berghelling en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de oevers van de Stille Oceaan. Jiufen herbergt een markt langs de hoofdstraat, waar we lokale delicatessen kunnen proeven – zoals ananascupcakes of een gehaktbrood met rijstpasta – en de werkplaatsen en winkels kunnen bezoeken van ambachtslieden die zich in Jiufen hebben gevestigd. De stad staat bekend om de traditionele theehuizen verborgen in de kronkelende steegjes, en om de rode lantaarns die de straten versieren, die Jiufen een bijzondere charme geven. Maar we zullen niet alleen wandelen en de steegjes, winkels en spectaculaire uitzichten bewonderen, maar we zullen ook de gelegenheid hebben om te lunchen in een van de beroemde theehuizen met een bevoorrecht uitzicht op de kust en de bergen rondom dit dromerige dorp.

Andy was very communicative with arrival time and knowledgeable about the sites visited. The car was comfortable and impeccably clean and well appointed. We had plenty of time to linger in places that were interesting and he even ended up sending us a car to take us to the airport the next day.
We had a great day exploring the North Coast of Taiwan. Andy is a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history. The day was well-paced and we have a load of photos to commemorate our visit.
It’s a curated private tour experience with the convenience seeing sights at your own pace. Cristian was a very warm, hospitable, conscientious, and knowledgeable driver/tour guide. This is a perfect itinerary for a day tour, and I would definitely recommend it.
The Geopark, Jiufen and Shifen can be very crowded. Learning more from Samuel, our guide, about the sites were very informative and interesting. Samuel's knowledge of where to traverse made it more efficient. Would love to do another tour with him the next time we visit Taipei.
Wilson was fantastic! He picked us up at our Hotel and the vehicle was a Mercedes Van that was very comfortable for the day trip. He was very knowledgable about the locations and handled everything and kept us to perfect schedule. He also took fantastic pictures and compiled a great video for us at the end of the trip. I would highly recommend this trip if you are looking for great day trip. 5 stars for sure!

Our family had a perfect private tour with Samuel. He picked us up just as planned and made sure we had a great day. Yehliu, Shifen, and Jiufen are all popular tourist destinations and Samuel was well informed and navigated everything so we could just relax and enjoy what we were seeing. He was happy to adjust the plan a bit for us and we also got some really great pictures! Don’t hesitate to book this, and I think extra cost of a private tour is well worth it for these sites.

Got us to the right places at the right times and no hanging around for others. Just for parking in the right places and the restaurant booking it was worth the extra of a private tour. Geo Park, waterfall and Jiufen (sp?) all good and all different. Train St was a nice additional stop.
