Je tour begint rond 8:00 uur, we halen je op bij je hotel of elke gewenste locatie in de stadsgrenzen van Udaipur. Later gaan we richting Chittorgarh in een privé AC-voertuig. De afstand van Udaipur naar Chittorgarh over de weg is ongeveer 112 km en het duurt ongeveer. 2 tot 2,5 uur afhankelijk van het verkeer.
Bezoek het prachtige fort van Chittorgarh, het Chittorgarh Fort, is een van de grootste forten in India. Het is een UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Het fort was de hoofdstad van Mewar en ligt in de huidige stad Chittorgarh. Je hebt minimaal één dag nodig om het fortcomplex te verkennen. De beste dingen om te zien zijn de Vijay Stambha, de Samadhisvar-tempel, het Kumbha-paleis en het Ratan Signh-paleis.
Bezoek vervolgens de Vijaya Stambha, een imposant overwinningsmonument in Fort. De toren werd in 1448 gebouwd door de hindoe-Rajput-koning Rana Kumbha van Mewar ter herdenking van zijn overwinning op het leger van Malwa onder leiding van Mahmud Khalji in de Slag bij Sarangpur.
Het Padmini-paleis was de residentie van Rani Padmini, de Rajput-koningin, echtgenote van koning Rawal Ratan Singh, die een cruciale rol speelde in de geschiedenis van de Rajput. Het is een wit gebouw met 3 verdiepingen dat uitkijkt op een aangenaam lotuszwembad. Het paleis wordt opgesierd door de paviljoens aan de bovenkant en omgeven door watergrachten. De architectuur van dit paleis wordt het voorbeeld voor vele andere opmerkelijke bouwwerken die werden omringd door het water.
Kirti Stambha is een toren bij Chittor Fort in Chittorgarh. De toren is 22 meter hoog en werd gebouwd door Jeeja Bhagerwala tijdens het bewind van Rawal Kumar Singh in de 12e eeuw ter ere van het jaïnisme. De Stambha zelf is bedekt met zeer mooie sculpturen. Het is echt heel mooi als je deze in het bijzonder ziet. Een must om te bezoeken tijdens Chittorgarh Fort Visit.

My partner and I really enjoyed our tip to Chittorgarh Fort. India history really goes far back. Prakesh was our driver and he was professional, efficient and made an excellent recommendation for lunch.
My wife and I booked a private trip from Udaipur to Chittorgarh and had a wonderful experience. Our driver, Mr. Prakash, made the journey very pleasant and explained everything along the way in a simple and interesting manner. When we arrived, our guide Mr. Narinder was fantastic—funny, knowledgeable, and full of fascinating stories that you won’t find in books or on the internet. He made the history of Chittorgarh Fort come alive. He took lots of our pictures on the way as he had photography experience. He also took us to a local tribal museum where we saw many interesting items and local goodies. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended and definitely worth the money! 🌟 After all this Mr. Prakash dropped us back at our hotel.

Chittorgarh fort is a must-see when in the area. Vinod ji was very knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. Kailash ji is a smooth driver and was very patient with traffic delays and some medical issues we had to deal with.

Bittu was in touch prior to the start with drivers name. The hotel pick up was on time. Guide vinod was waiting at the Chittorgarh Fort ticket window with our tickets and was terrific in guiding us through the Fort which is UNESCO world heritage site. He is very knowledgeable and well versed in the history of the fort. Specifically ask for him if you book with this tour operator. He will tell you about the history of self immolation by over 15000 women at the fort to avoid being enslaved by Alludin Khlji, the Delhi Sultanate who was determined to expand his power over the Rajput hill fort and the Mewar king to secure his trade routes to Gujarat and Malwa. Vinod is also a terrific photographer and will take your pictures for free. Ask for him ass give and tip him well!! He will wrap up the trip by taking you to a restaurant for your lunch before return to Udaipur.

We had booked a tour for Chittorgarh and Mr. Kailash arrived on time . The vehicle was clean, with no strong artificial car refresher smell. There was plentiful supply of bottled water which was replenished as soon as it was consumed by us . The journey was 2 hrs from Udaipur with a break for hot fresh breakfast at a food court . Kailashji kept us entertained with information about the area , life , jokes .. He was insistent about us having the best experience even though we were short on time for our stay . I would recommend Kailashji as by the end of the day we were sorry to say good bye to him.
