De reis begint met een ophaalservice vanaf het treinstation / vliegveld of hotel of elke gewenste locatie in Udaipur. (Ophaaltijdstip 8.00 uur tot 9.30 uur). De reis begint met een bezoek aan Kumbhalgarh Fort, dat de op een na grootste muur ter wereld wordt genoemd. Het Kumbhalgarh-fort werd gebouwd in de 15e eeuw. Het majestueuze fort scheidde Mewar van Marwar en werd voor dit doel gebouwd. Kumbhalgarh ligt 84 km ten noorden van Udaipur in de wildernis en is de tweede belangrijkste citadel na Chittorgarh in de Mewar-regio.
Bezoek de beroemdste Jain-tempel in het jaïnisme, Ranakpur. Het werd gebouwd door de beroemde koning van Mewar Rana Kumbha. Tempel heeft in totaal 84 bhonyra (ondergrondse kamers) gebouwd om de Jain-idolen te beschermen tegen de Mughals. De tempel staat bekend om zijn prachtige gebeeldhouwde idool van Parshvanatha, gemaakt van een enkele marmeren plaat. Het idool heeft 1008 slangenkoppen en talloze staarten. Na de geweldige ervaring rijden we je terug naar Udaipur en zetten we je daar af.

We had a great day visiting Kumbhalgarth fort and Ranakpur Jain temple. We were fortunate to have Prakash as our driver. He was courteous and helpful and we felt entirely safe with his driving at all times. The Kumbhalgarth fort is amazing of course. Our guide was Arjun who did a great job of bringing it to life for us. The lunch choice was good, we had vegetarian curry and dal with rice and naan which was very tasty. After lunch we visited the Jain temple with stunning carvings in white marble. Overall a great day trip from Udaipur, if you have the time

We had a wonderful time during this day trip. Our driver Mukesh was punctual and very friendly. Kumbhalgarh and the Ranakpur Jain Temple are sites to behold and definitely not to be missed. Our guide at Kumbhalgarh, Arjun, was also very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions, letting us take our time around the fort. Guides are not allowed at the Jain Temple, so we recommend taking the audio tour to get a full appreciation for the temple history. I’d highly recommend this day trip if you’re spending time in Udaipur.
The driver, Navneet, made us feel like family despite the language barrier. The scheduling was flexible and communicative, despite a last minute booking. The guide was good as well.

Honesty, as a solo female traveller I was a bit nervous about booking such a long trek in a private car, but this company made everything so seamless.
