Private Day Tour of Wannsee en Potsdam vanuit Berlijn

Onderweg naar Potsdam ziet u het Olympisch Stadion, Wannsee en de Spiesenbrug. Wandel in Potsdam door de prachtige tuinen, bekijk Cecilienhof en Sanssouci en stop ook bij de barokke oude stad en de Hollandse wijk. Let op: Cecilienhof is vanaf 1 november 2024 gesloten vanwege renovatiewerkzaamheden!! Dit is een privétour van 5 uur onder leiding van een chauffeur/gids die live commentaar geeft aan boord van een minibus met airconditioning. De groepsgrootte is beperkt tot 6 personen. Houd er rekening mee dat musea (Wannsee villa, Cecilienhof/locatie van de Potsdam Conferentie) op maandag gesloten zijn.

Dit prachtige paleis werd in 1800 in opdracht van koning Frederic I voor zijn vrouw gebouwd. Frederic II voegde de vleugels links en rechts toe.
Het Olympisch Stadion werd gebouwd voor de Spelen van 1936. Hier won Jesse Owen zijn vele gouden medailles. Tegenwoordig zijn er sportevenementen en soms concerten. Maak een foto onder de beroemde ringen.
We nemen de "landschappelijke route" van Berlijn naar Potsdam zodat je zult zien hoeveel groen er is, hoeveel meren en kanalen er zijn. U passeert de Grunewald-toren en de Wannsee. Als je wilt, kun je een stop maken bij de Wannsee Villa, de locatie van de beruchte conferentie in 1942.
Houd er rekening mee dat het huis op maandag gesloten is. Alle andere dagen kun je, als je wilt, het huis binnenlopen en zien waar de conferentie plaatsvond.
13 huizen gebouwd voor Russische gevangenen, toen leden van het Russische koor, zijn bewaard gebleven in deze unieke nederzetting uit het begin van de 19e eeuw.
Dit is het laatste paleis dat de Hohenzollern bouwden. Na de oorlog vond hier in 1945 de Conferentie van Potsdam plaats, die een einde maakte aan de oorlog en Duitsland en Berlijn in verschillende sectoren verdeelde. Als je wilt, bezoek dan het museum met audiogidsen. Gesloten op maandag. Na november 2024 enkele jaren (!) gesloten!
De oude binnenstad van Potsdam werd helaas in de tweede wereldoorlog getroffen door bommen. Een groot deel van de barokke stad bleef echter ongedeerd. Er zijn zo'n 200 gebouwen uit de jaren 1740 die bewaard zijn gebleven en ook de Oud-Hollandse wijk is gerestaureerd. Je rijdt door dit prachtige deel van Potsdam en hebt de mogelijkheid om foto's te maken of te stoppen voor koffie of lunch.
Sanssouci Palace is beroemd vanwege het uitzicht vanaf de fontein. Daarom neemt uw gids u mee door de wijngaarden zodat u kunt genieten van dit prachtige uitzicht. Zie ook waar Frederic II begraven ligt (naast zijn honden). Geniet van een heerlijke wandeling door het park.

We had a lovely time with our guide Thomas. He was on time and took us on a memorable journey to Wannsee and Potsdam. He was super knowledgeable about the area and the topics surrounding the German history. Visiting Wannsee and reading/learning about the history of what happened there was an eye opener. Potsdam was beautiful with all the castles and houses. Overall, it was a very good trip-well paced for 5 hours. One piece of advise- we barely had time for lunch-it may be better to pack your lunch and go on this trip.

Communicating with this tour group was exceptional. All my questions were quickly addressed. Loved the tour. There was no problem accommodating our request to be dropped off at the airport. The guide even escorted us inside and was willing to wait with us until we got to security. Our guide was articulate, knowledgeable, flexible and a lot of fun. The driver wasn't only a careful driver, he was humorous, and also gave the guide some added information to share.

Our guide, Thomas, really was excellent. His knowledge and stories about all the different places we visited and the people involved made for a most memorable day ! The history of everything from the the buildings on Unter den Linden , to the Olympic Stadium ,to the Bridge of Spies and onto the Wannsee Conference House and the palaces in Potsdam was brought to life by his engaging and highly interesting story telling ! We were in the east by campervan and our destination was Potsdam, Weimar and Erfurt. Every city had its highlights, but Potsdam was already special 😍. A great atmosphere, a special flair and the scent of lime have rounded off the stay. It was very nice there.
We had a great day touring Potsdam and learning about the history of the empirics as well as the modern significance of the beautiful palaces. Our guide, Sven, was very knowledgeable!

Thomas is an excellent guide who is very knowledgeable. He imparted many tidbits of information that we wouldn’t have found out otherwise. The ride in the van with Marius driving was very pleasant.
