Na een vroege start vanuit Londen nemen we je mee op een prachtige landelijke rit langs de steden Hungerford en Marlborough op weg naar de grootste stenen cirkel ter wereld. Bij Avebury zul je je niet alleen verwonderen over de enorme omvang van het monument, maar ook de keuze hebben om de oude stenen daadwerkelijk aan te raken en alle bovennatuurlijke energieën te verbeteren.
Als we het graafschap Wiltshire binnenkomen, bezoeken we het betoverende dorp Lacock. Beroemd om zijn schilderachtige schoonheid, trekt Lacock bezoekers van over de hele wereld op zoek naar filmsets van populaire films en tv-series van Harry Potter tot Downton Abbey. Je gids zal je de geschiedenis van de abdij vertellen, en ook wijzen op de Village Lockup en Tithe Barn die Lacock uniek maken.
De langste stop van de dag op deze tour is opgeslagen voor de enige Unesco-werelderfgoedstad in Engeland. Bath heeft het allemaal, van de Romeinse tempel tot prachtige Georgische rijen huizen zoals The Royal Crescent en Circus. Je gids vertelt je alle verhalen van de legende van Bladud tot The Roman Invasion of Britain terwijl je naar de stad reist, waar je vervolgens 2,5 uur vrije tijd krijgt om te genieten van The Roman Baths Museum (toegang niet inbegrepen) en stoppen voor lunch.
We eindigen de dag met een kort bezoek aan Castle Combe. Hier kunnen klanten genieten van een nog stiller dorp dan Lacock en een kans om een prachtig klein Cotswold-dorp te zien.

Omdat we Hotel Pickup aanbieden aan meer dan 650 hotels in het centrum van Londen, kunnen we de vertrektijd van 07:30 uur wijzigen, afhankelijk van de specifieke locatie van uw hotel. Soms zijn er wegafsluitingen buiten onze controle waardoor we geen toegang tot uw hotel kunnen krijgen. In deze onwaarschijnlijke situatie vragen we u om te wandelen of lokaal vervoer te gebruiken om uw chauffeur / gids op een vooraf afgesproken bestemming te ontmoeten. Kijk 5 minuten voor vertrek uit uw hotel voor uw gids. Soms kan je tourbus niet direct buiten je hotel parkeren, afhankelijk van de straat waar het zich bevindt. Kijk uit voor uw gids en gebruik het verstrekte contactnummer als u problemen ondervindt om ze te vinden.

Our tour guide, WILL SHIPLEY, was absolutely FANTASTIC. Will made for an AMAZING day & we created many incredible memories to take back to the USA. We had an amazing time on our tour of Avebury, Bath, and the Cotswolds with our tour guide, Christian. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited and kept us entertained throughout the day with interesting tidbits about the sites along our drive. He was a conscientious driver, and the ride was very comfortable as we took in the English countryside. I would highly recommend one of Tailored Tours trips!
Oz was so professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and accommodating to our requests to stop and use the toilets. He took us to some special places that we would not be able to find in our own and he helped make our trip very memorable. Robert the driver was also very polite and was a very good driver.
We were picked up at our hotel in London on time by Christian Mulcahy in his very nice comfortable van. Christian is a very knowledgeable, smart, funny, and wonderful guide. He went way beyond excellent to make sure we saw more than the typical tourist sites. We had a wonderful time. Our guide was very helpful and informative. He took us to places that were a little less known and places that buses could not get into. We really enjoyed having a guide just for our family because we were able to have our questions answered and our guide was willing to show us a few places that were specific to our interests.
Our family of 4 were very lucky to have been able to get Oz as our private guide and driver for a day trip out of London so close to Christmas Day. Oz was very professional yet friendly. His knowledge of the history of the places we visited kept us engaged during the drive and made it so much more meaningful when we visited the places to see for ourselves. Arrangements for the tour were easily done through whatsapp prior to the day. The tour was entirely at our own pace. Oz planned the itinerary well to make the most out of our day without us feeling rushed in any way. The vehicle was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It was definitely a good break from all the walking we did when touring London by foot. Thank you Oz!
Our guide Oz. Was extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area. This added so much to our day trip. All stops were very good. We liked the small villages we drove through, the country side was very pretty. Avebury was very interesting.
There were 15 of us in two vans and we spent the day with Oz and Nick. They were both amazing guides, sharing interesting and unusual facts and stories on the drive and at our destinations. They were flexible (you kind of have to be when there are 15 friends traveling together!) and so much fun to be around. If I go back to London I would absolutely use them again for another tour!
