Je chauffeur en gids halen je om 8.00 uur op bij je stadshotel in Beijing. Het duurt ongeveer 1,5 uur naar de muur vanuit het centrum van Beijing. De Grote Muur bij Mutianyu ligt iets verder van Beijing dan het populairste gedeelte bij Badaling, maar het wordt niet zo druk. Dit deel van de muur is volledig gerestaureerd, er zijn leuningen om je te helpen op de zeer steile delen en het uitzicht is spectaculair.
Na een lekkere lunch in lokale Chinese restaurants bezoeken we de Ming Tombs. Ming Tombs zijn mausoleums van dertien keizers van de Ming-dynastie. Het is de grootste clusters van keizerlijke begraafplaatsen in China. Sinds 1409 met de bouw van Changling Tomb voor keizer Zhu Di, werd de Ming Tombs voltooid in 1644 toen de keizer Chongzhen werd begraven in Siling Tomb. Er zijn drie delen opengesteld voor het publiek, de Sacred Way, Changling Tomb en Dingling Tomb. De heilige weg is de eerste attractie van Ming Tombs, een hoofdweg die leidt naar de dertien keizerlijke graven in het schilderachtige gebied. De twee lijnen van stenen levensechte sculpturen (12 beesten en 6 ambtenaren) aan beide zijden zijn het hoogtepunt van de Heilige Weg die vrij populair zijn bij bezoekers. Onder de Ming-graven is Changling de grootste, vroegste en meest magnifieke met best bewaarde gevonden constructies. Dingling is de enige die het ondergrondse paleis heeft opgegraven. U zult een van hen bezoeken op basis van uw interesses. Nadat je je reis naar Great Wall and the Ming Tombs hebt voltooid, word je teruggebracht naar je hotel.

This was an excellent one day private tour, our tour guide Lisa was amazing, professional, and accommodating, thanks for the great experience!. Starting early is a must to avoid the crowds at the wall, you will have plenty time for photos and to explore as many towers as you want on your own. Lunch buffet was the best, great food selection and it was tasty. Transportation was good and comfortable, as well as a very good driver. We closed the day with an optional acrobatic show which we also recommend! Overall 10 out of 10.
Taking the BusDa special line is highly efficient! Depart from Exit B, Heping West Bridge Station at 07:30, arriving at Mutianyu in about 1.5 hours directly. Tickets and shuttle bus are included, with no queuing. You have 4 hours to visit from 09:00 to 13:00. Take the cable car to Tower 14 and hike the popular west section (Towers 14–20). Tower 15 is a filming spot of If You Are the One, and Tower 20 offers stunning panoramic views. For more adventure, take the chairlift up and slide down. Entrance ticket ¥45, round-trip cable car ¥140, chairlift + slide ¥140. No shopping stops. Return at 13:00, enjoying the magnificent Great Wall comfortably.
We have had amazing experience with the guide Ling :) she picked us up from the hotel and dropped off after the trip. The day was super enjoyable and fun experience. Fully recommended if u want to visit the Great Wall of China and u have limited time.
