Ruben and Tatiana (owner operators of South Adventure Peru Tours) are the pinnacle of professionalism and of caring about the customer's experience; you simply won't find anyone better in this field in the Cusco region or beyond. Their attention to detail is impeccable, they keep their customers in the know with ample and very responsive communication, and with full preparedness. E.g. we received the planned route prior to our arrival, and the details included a clear description of what to expect (what time we would be picked up, what activities to expect for the day, what's included and not included in the program, when we would be back in the hotel, etc.) This was a major stress relief as we knew how to prepare for the trip (we took the combined, two-week itinerary that included Cusco, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Nazca, and Lima). Ruben and Tati took care of all the hotel reservations, transportation needs, admission tickets, and arranged for local guides whom they hand-selected and evaluated themselves. Once the trip was underway, they checked with us at the beginning and at the end of every day, making sure that the pickup driver was on time, the guide was up to our expectations, and if there were any contingencies that they would need to react to. If we had any questions, we could count on their quick-turnaround answers and recommendations, be it for restaurants or local events, etc. On the days when there were multiple transportation methods in the plan, we received a personalized packet of bus tickets, train tickets, admission tickets, etc. in sequence, and Ruben took the time to walk us through every detail in advance, just to make sure we were in the clear. They were knowledgeable about local conditions and were flexible to meet unforeseeable challenges, like bus routes starting earlier due to road construction. I have never seen anyone so organized in a world that can be so chaotic and fast-paced for the customer, they provided the calm and grounding touch. This left us free to concentrate on the actual experience because we could trust that the nitty-gritty details are all thought of, and are taken care of, by Ruben and Tatiana. In summary, we couldn't have asked for a better trip organizer and operator - we are very happy with their services and we left having made new friends in Peru. We picked them out of hundreds of competitors in the Cusco region based on a friend's recommendation, and having just returned from our trip, now we can see how they earned such high opinion. I've been traveling a lot this past decade, and I must say it was one of the best organized tour I've been on. The whole expérience! The guides were very kind and gentle, and well known in the area. The timing of every activity were very well sheduled, though flexible according to one's pace as we we're quite a big group. Would recommend and mostly come back! Plus Ruben and his wife helped us with booking for restaurants, that we really wanted to go and that were fully booked.

My girlfriend, grandfather, and I had a wonderful time this trip, planned by South Adventure Peru Tours. We spent almost 2 weeks in the Cusco area, with almost the entire trip totally organized by Ruben and his team. Because SAPT is so flexible, we first asked for a basic itinerary that Ruben recommended, and then asked him to make adjustments based on our preferences. We booked our hotels on our own, but had him take care of just about everything else: meals, van transfers, tours of important ruins around Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Pichu, train tickets, and some meals. Ruben allows you to decide how involved him and his team are for you, depending on how much you want to spend. We spent 3 nights in Cusco, 4 in the Sacred Valley, 3 in Aguas Calientes, and then one night back in Cusco. The entire trip was a beautiful experience with many pretty sights, interesting tours, and fun adventures. We recently spent two weeks in Peru, and whole trip was focused on the highlights such as Lima, a 4-Day Rainforest in Tambopata, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the Amaru Community Project, a tour to the Maras Moray salt mines, the 2-Day short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain (via ATVs), a trip to Lake Titicaca, and finally, a tour to Colca Canyon in Arequipa. We are extremely grateful for everything to Ruben and his team did to make our trip wonderful and unforgettable. It was meticulously organized and well-planned from beginning to end, with very attentive and knowledgeable guides who understood Inca history and traditions. They were very helpful, and thanks to them, we were able to interact with the people in different destinations and easily connect with the community members in Amaru. In Lima, Fernando took care of our stay for 3 days and was very kind to my family. We did the City Tour (Colonial and Modern), the Magic Water Circuit show, and also visited the Ballestas Islands, Ica, and Huacachina, and went sandboarding Our trip to the Amazon was simply wonderful, and we have no words to describe it. Our guide, Oscar, behaved exceptionally well. In Cusco, we met Ruben and his wife, Tatiana, who welcomed us very kindly and took care of us, treating us like family. This trip was truly amazing, as we had never been so well taken care of before, even though my family and I had traveled to other countries. This time, something wonderful happened, and it will always remain in our memories. We loved every place, such as Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Moray, the Short Inca Trail, and one of the highlights was Machu Picchu—it's magical with a breathtaking view. The guides rose to the occasion, were attentive, and extremely dedicated to their work. Puno and Arequipa were another unique and unforgettable experience. Sharing their customs on the Uros and Taquile Islands on Lake Titicaca was a wonderful thing we will never forget. In the Colca Canyon, we saw Andean condors flying above us; it was another unforgettable experience. We still can't quite grasp all the amazing things that happened to us in Peru. We are sharing our experiences with all our friends and family and will not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to this beautiful country
