Bezoek de Nelson Mandela Gateway naar Robbeneiland om meer te weten te komen over apartheid en om te zien waar Mandela en andere activisten en politici tijdens het regime werden opgesloten. Bezoek na de lunch (op eigen kosten) de Tafelberg en geniet van vrije tijd in Bo-Kaap, een wijk die bekend staat om zijn kleurrijke huizen en de Kaapse Maleisische cultuur.

We beginnen deze geweldige ervaring met een pick-up van je hotel om ongeveer 08.00 uur op weg naar de Nelson Mandela Gateway naar Robbeneiland voor een ervaring van 3 tot 4 uur om te zien waar Nelson Mandela en zoveel andere burgers, politici werden opgesloten tijdens de Apartheidsregime. Sla de wachtrij over bij het kopen van de tickets, want deze tour heeft uw vooraf geboekte ticket van tevoren. Houd er rekening mee dat het Robbeneilandmuseum zich het recht voorbehoudt om een bepaalde tour naar eigen goeddunken te annuleren. In het geval van annulering heeft u recht op een volledige terugbetaling of een optie om een nieuwe afspraak te maken. Je gids-chauffeur zal je niet naar het eiland begeleiden omdat ze hun eigen gidsen hebben. Je zult met andere mensen op de boot zijn. U krijgt een volledige rondleiding door een ex-gedetineerde.
Je hebt een stop van 15 minuten voor een fotomoment in de Bo-Kaap.
Kort nadat u terug bent van uw Robbeneiland Tour-ervaring, kunt u bij ons voor eigen rekening een broodje of lichte lunch pakken in een nabijgelegen restaurant. Van hieruit rijden we naar het Cable Car station, waar u uw retourticket van uw Gids krijgt. De Gids zal u begeleiden voor maximale ervaring. Vanaf hier zetten we je af bij je residentie in Kaapstad.

There was nothing wrong with the arrangements and the pick up, but the Island tour was cancelled at short notice due to bad weather and the mountain tour was cancelled due to a fire in an electric car battery in their garage. We can’t really fault the arrangements but we can’t comment on the tours.

Jean-Marie was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and took very good care of us. Table Mountain was closed, so that was disappointing, but he suggested Kirstenbosch Gardens instead and provided an excellent tour of the gardens as a substitute.

What an easy and interesting travel day! Jean-Marie was our guide and he picked us up and dropped us off right from our hotel! He had so much energy, excitement, enthusiasm, that you couldn’t help but get super excited for the day. We began with a trip to robben island where we took the ferry and then explored the island on a guided bus tour and then got to have a tour of the prison told by a guide who was formerly imprisoned on the island! Fascinating! Then we opted to shop instead of eat lunch and Jean-Marie was happy to accommodate! Then we traveled up to table mountain on the cable car and just as we were about to leave the clouds parted and we were able to see the majestic sights of Cape Town! Truly an amazing tour and we felt very well taken care of!

What a great guide we had. My first ever guided tour with my partner. I had a fantastic tour with a very skillful and cool guide. I truly recommend them whenever you visit cape town, you won't regret it.
When we booked the Tour I read all the reviews previously and it was clear that guide Jean-Marie was Loved by all- so I was very excited when he was our guide-without a doubt he now has two new people that love him!! Jean-Marie’s Excellent knowledge of Cape Town and all the area from historical, folklore, flora, present day Definitely made the trip interesting and was so appreciated but the Most important aspect of guide Jean- Marie was his authentic caring and great heart which enabled us to have of our BEST experience ever with a tour guide-You could see his joy in making sure that all our needs and special requests were met-He definitely goes more than the distance and lived up to all Positives in his reviews -PLUS +++++Zion/Viator You have a sparkling Gem in Jean-Marie!!!!!
Great views from the Mountain and Robben Island tour by ex-political prisoners who endured such harsh and torture was very moving and hopefully the world will never forget.
This is not a private tour and should not be advertised as such. We were picked up by a guide who esstially dropped us off at the docks. The tour to Robben Island was delayed, due to technical difficulties so we spent at 1-1.5 hours waiting. We were told by our guide that we would be met by a guide like him on the island. When we arrived that was not the case. We were just part of the general tour. We called our guide and he assured us that the rest of the tour was "private". Upon returning from Robben Island our guide drove us to Table Mountain, rode with us to the top, should us a model of the mountain, a picture of an animal and said he would meet us back at the tram to depart. Besides picking us up and getting our tickets in advance, this was not a private tour. His manner was very abrupt and I often felt like we were an inconvenience to his day.
