Bezoek de indrukwekkende Kolossen van Memnon, twee massieve stenen beelden die al meer dan 3.400 jaar op de westelijke oever van de Nijl staan in de buurt van Luxor. Deze torenhoge beelden stellen de machtige farao Amenhotep III voor en bewaakten ooit de ingang van zijn enorme mortuariumtempel. De Kolossen van Memnon, die ongeveer 18 meter hoog zijn, behoren tot de meest gefotografeerde bezienswaardigheden in Luxor. From start to finish the service that this tour provided was exceptional. We were contacted the day before to confirm timings and our hotel and the night before our driver messaged us to confirm his arrival time too. Omar, our lovely driver, arrived early to collect us but was happy to wait for us. It was a lovely journey to Luxor, he allowed us peace to catch up on some sleep and stopped at a services on the way for food, coffee, and the toilet. On arriving to Luxor, we picked up our lovely guide Angie. Angie was an absolute star! She is incredibly knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history, having a Masters from Cairo. Her English is superb and we had some brilliant conversations about the different eras and dynasties, and she was always ready to answer our questions. At each site, everything was prepared for us from our tickets to transport, which made everything very stress free. Angie would show us around, give us plenty of information, and then give us some time to explore ourselves, which we greatly appreciated. She was also quick to help with a photo op! There were the usual couple of tourist trap stops, namely a papyrus shop and an alabaster shop, but we never felt forced to purchase anything and Angie was happy to take us on to the next place whenever we wanted. Lunch was absolutely phenomenal. It was lovely to have some time to sit and chat more with Angie, and again she left us to eat our lunch in private. This consisted of a selection of traditional Egyptian food and was incredibly fresh and very tasty. Overall, the whole day was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this tour to anyone thinking of booking and I hope you are lucky enough to have Angie show you the wonderful history that Luxor has to offer.
Absolutely wonderful tour, would highly recommend. Mahmoud & Omar, our drivers were fantastic. Really friendly and looked after us with snacks, drinks and music! Our guide Sayed Gamal was excellent. Very knowledgeable, kind and patient with our 4, 6 and 15 year old children as it was very hot! Do not hesitate to book as everything was taken care of and we had a memorable trip in beautiful parts of Luxor. Thank you ❤️

It was very nice to know the historical explanation. It was a pleasant sightseeing experience even in the hot weather, with smooth travel. It was a good break for the souvenir shop as they also gave us a clean toilet and drinks. The lunch included in the tour was reasonably delicious with a choice of chicken, beef and kofta. The only downside is the high cost of additional drinks. I think that probably covers the cost of cooking to some extent. It was not much different from dinner at a local restaurant the day before.

Sayad was a great tour guide, he had patience with our daughter who has additional needs. He has a great understanding of the history behind the Pharaohs and the temples. He made the experience worth the time it takes to walk around them.

We had a wounderful trip from Luxor to Hurghada with Ahmed Agmy. He picked us up at the agreed time at the Hotel with a clean bus with AC. He waited patiently during our visit of the temple of Dendara. His falafel suggestion for lunch was delicious. During the drive we had an interesting conversation regarding growing up and living in Egypt under the current situation. Very interesting to get insides from locals. Wie felt safe all the time. Perfect ride. Next time again with Ahmed!
