Hurghada: excursie naar Caïro met vlucht, Pyramids GEM of Ancient Museum

Beleef het grootste museum voor oude Egyptische kunst met zijn schatten uit het rijke verleden van Egypte, zoals de kostbare grafgiften. Onze gids legt op humoristische wijze de belangrijkste tentoonstellingen uit en beantwoordt uw vragen tijdens een bezoek van twee uur. Bewonder het laatst overgebleven wereldwonder – een fantastische ervaring! Er zijn hier drie piramides: de piramides van Chefren, Cheops en Menkaure. U kunt de locatie te voet, te paard of per kameel verkennen. Duur: tussen de 2 en 3 uur. Na een bezoek aan de piramides van Gizeh gaat u naar de Grote Sfinx, verreweg de grootste overgebleven sfinx. Deze bestaat uit een mensenhoofd op het lichaam van een leeuw. De Sfinx is uitgehouwen uit de resten van een kalkstenen heuvel die diende als steengroeve voor de Grote Piramide van Cheops. Een tocht per felucca over de Nijl is tegen betaling beschikbaar.

Rond 4 uur wordt u opgehaald bij uw hotel. Bij aankomst in Caïro wordt u opgewacht door uw gids die u tijdens de tour zal begeleiden.

Bezoek het hypermoderne Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), het grootste archeologische museum ter wereld met meer dan 100.000 artefacten, of het Ancient Egyptian Museum op het Tahrirplein. Selecteer uw voorkeursmuseum tijdens het boekingsproces.
U ontmoet uw Egyptologische gids bij het museum en begint uw dag. Het verdere verloop van de excursie brengt u naar de grote piramides van Cheops, Chephren en Mykerinus. De rondleiding door de piramides eindigt bij de Sfinx en de tempel eromheen. Aan het eind van de dag, als de tijd het toelaat, heeft u de gelegenheid om te gaan winkelen voordat u aan de terugreis naar Hurghada begint.
Als de terugvlucht vanuit Caïro in de late avond plaatsvindt, zullen we wat tijd doorbrengen met een bezoek aan het middeleeuwse Londen (Khan el Kalili Market), het oude Caïro, onlangs toegevoegd aan de UNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst, of Cairo Festival City, een extra groot winkelcentrum (met airconditioning), een van de grootste in het Midden-Oosten. Vol met de beroemdste internationale merken, restaurants, cafés en een enorme kleurrijke dansende fontein waar je wordt aangetrokken door het chique, moderne nachtleven van Caïro.
Bij aankomst op de luchthaven wordt u in een auto met airconditioning naar uw hotel gebracht.
Als we tijd hebben kunnen we twee karakteristieke bezoeken brengen aan het Papyrusmuseum en de Essentiële Oliefabriek. Deze twee attracties laten je kennismaken met oude Egyptische technieken voor het maken van papyrus en essences. Deze twee interessante bezoeken zullen je kennis over het dagelijks leven in het oude Egypte vergroten en zullen ook nuttig zijn voor de Egyptische boeren die in deze sectoren werken en deze zeer oude ambachten uit het oude Egypte behouden. (Deze bezoeken zijn afhankelijk van de resterende tijd.)
Daarna heeft je geest rust nodig. Zo kunt u bijvoorbeeld heerlijk tot rust komen tijdens een boottocht op de Nijl en Caïro vanaf het water ontdekken.

We halen gasten op bij alle hotels in Makadi Bay/Sahl Hasheesh/Safaga/Soma Bay. Absolutely incredible day from start to finish and one of the highlights of our holiday. Everything was organised perfectly, with an early hotel pickup and a smooth journey that made the whole experience stress-free from the outset. The day was packed with unforgettable sights and experiences. Seeing the Pyramids for the first time is something that simply can't be described properly until you're standing there in person. They're far more impressive than any photograph can capture. The visit to the Sphinx was equally impressive, and our guide made sure we had plenty of time to take everything in while sharing fascinating facts and stories about the history of the site. After a well-earned lunch break, we continued to the Grand Egyptian Museum, which was simply outstanding. The collection of artefacts is breathtaking, and seeing the treasures of Tutankhamun up close was a real bucket-list moment. The exhibits are beautifully displayed and give an incredible insight into Egypt's rich history. A special mention must go to our guide, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly organised throughout the day. They kept everything running smoothly, avoided unnecessary queues where possible, and made the experience both informative and enjoyable for adults and children alike. Our driver was also excellent, ensuring we travelled safely and comfortably throughout. The entire excursion felt professional, well-managed, and great value for money. We always felt safe, looked after, and able to enjoy every moment without worrying about the logistics. We had a fantastic day on our trip from Hurghada to Cairo. The schedule was perfectly organized. What was particularly nice was that we visited the old town early in the morning. At that time, it was still pleasantly cool, allowing us to enjoy the atmosphere, the impressive architecture, and true Cairo in peace. Afterwards, we went to the Pyramids of Giza. We were also out early here, which made the temperatures very pleasant and gave us enough time to marvel at this impressive wonder of the world and take great photos. Seeing the pyramids and the Sphinx live was definitely a highlight of the trip. After that, we visited the museum, which impressed with its fascinating exhibits and the rich history of Egypt. As a nice conclusion, there was a small Nile cruise, where one could experience Cairo from a completely different perspective. Special praise goes to our guide Adam. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accompanied us through the day with a lot of knowledge, humor, and commitment. His explanations were engaging and understandable, and he took care of the group at all times. Overall, it was an unforgettable day with many highlights, very good organization, and an excellent guide. Anyone vacationing in Hurghada should not miss this trip to Cairo!
