Leun achterover en ontspan en laat uw chauffeur-gids u informeren over dit ongelooflijke stukje Noorwegen. Tijdens deze privétour ervaar je een van de mooiste en meest populaire fjordgebieden in Noorwegen. De smalle en spectaculaire Nærøyfjord wordt omringd door steile berghellingen met besneeuwde toppen die 1.800 meter boven de zeespiegel uitstijgen, met watervallen en idyllische dorpjes langs de fjord. Een van die dorpen is Gudvangen, dat in de Vikingtijd een belangrijke handelsplaats was. Voeg daarbij een van de mooiste treinreizen ter wereld, aanbevolen door National Geographic en Lonely Planet.

De eerste stop is deze waterval. Kom dichter bij het water en voel de frisheid ervan.
We rijden over de bochtige weg naar dit hotel, waar u een geweldig uitzicht heeft over de Nærøydalen-vallei, die samen met de Nærøyfjord op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat.
Nadat we vanaf het hotel de kronkelige weg zijn ingeslagen, rijden we langs een krachtige waterval en komen we aan bij het dorp Gudvangen. Deze plaats is een oude Viking-site waar ze eer betuigden aan hun goden. Hier ga je op een cruise langs de Nærøyfjord.
Geniet van een cruise over deze UNESCO-plek, geniet van het dramatische landschap en geniet van een glas wijn of koffie tijdens de cruise.
Na de cruise komt u aan in het dorp Flåm, gelegen aan het einde van een andere arm van de Nærøyfjord. Hier heb je wat tijd om te lunchen en het kleine dorp en zijn souvenirwinkels te verkennen.
Stap aan boord van deze historische trein en geniet van een rit van 1 uur. Deze treinrit werd door National Geographic beschreven als een van de mooiste ter wereld.
Op dit station stapt u over op de trein naar Voss. De duur van de rit is ongeveer 1 uur en de tijd doorgebracht in Myrdal zal ongeveer 10 minuten zijn.
Dit stadje wordt beschreven als de hoofdstad van extreme sporten in Noorwegen en heeft een charmante sfeer. Loop naar de kerk gebouwd in het jaar 1200, een symbool van de tijd dat de Vikingen zich bekeerden tot het christendom.

Bij het ophalen van de klanten houdt de gids een papieren bord vast met de namen van de gasten. De gids wacht bij de receptie van het hotel of op de luchthaven. Zodra de klanten de bagageband verlaten, kunnen ze de gids zien.

The tour is an effective way of combining the fjord cruise and train ride with private driver covering the other parts of the tour. You don’t need to worry about getting the tickets or rushing to catch the train or cruise. Everything is arranged well and our driver guide Tony is very friendly and gives us a lot local knowledge. While it’s more expensive but worth it.

This all day tour was awesome! We were met right on time at our hotel in a very clean Mercedes by Roald. Because he was born and raised in Norway, Roald was able to share some myths, tales (Trolls and Helga) and share some personal stories of growing up in Norway. He also showed us secret scenic spots along the way to Gudvangen (including best cinnamon rolls). Yes, the Fjord cruise and Railway to Flam was beautiful, but the secret spots were breathtaking! Scenery with snow and clouds reflected in calm clear water was spectacular! This was the highlight of our trip! Roald repeated many times the navigational part of the cruise to the Flam Railway and next railway to Voss. (I was afraid we would not make the connections) But it turned out to be very easy, thanks to him! Roald was informative and at times quite funny. He went above and beyond. (Even made our dinner reservations, etc) What a great tour and we hope to be back in Norway one day!

Very comprehensive tour including private guide/driver, trains and boat. Beautiful views from train to Flam and a gorgeous boat ride on fjords. Boat was medium sized, very nicely-designed with great indoor and outdoor spaces and access. Guide was great - informative, friendly, accommodating.

Highly professional staff, who kept us well informed. Our tour guide Roald was amazing, so knowledgeable and extremely patient with so many of our toilet breaks and a toddler melt down. Our Flam Real Experience AS Tour provided the highlight of our two-week trip to Scandinavia. We visited beautiful valleys and waterfalls away from the usual tourist spots with our guide Roald. He shared his knowledge about the Norwegian fjords and the area around Bergen. And Roald answered all our questions about Norwegian culture, history and industry. My husband, son and I wished the day could have been a bit sunnier. But our experiences driving the mountain roads with Roald, gliding along the Naeroyfjord on the ferry, and riding the Flam Railway were invaluable.
