Je begint je tour in Chinchero, een van de belangrijkste bevolkingsgroepen tijdens het Inca-rijk. Het was echter het slachtoffer van de uitroeiing van afgoderij, een actie die de traditionele goden verving door katholieke, om de populaire overtuigingen te transformeren. Bezoek dan Maras, een indrukwekkend complex van zoutwinning. Het zijn grote zoutvoorraden die worden gebruikt voor ruil voor andere producten met andere regio's van het rijk. Aan de andere kant bestaat de archeologische vindplaats van Moray uit mysterieuze concentrische cirkelvormige terrassen die voor sommige onderzoekers een agrarisch onderzoekscentrum zouden zijn. Vrije tijd voor de lunch en daarna een bezoek aan Ollantaytambo, een typisch voorbeeld van stadsplanning van de Inca's. Het archeologische complex heette fort, hoewel het een tambo was, een rust- en verblijfplaats voor langeafstandsreizigers. Bezoek ten slotte de citadel van Pisac. De markt heeft tientallen kraampjes met goederen die zijn gemaakt door inwoners van het gebied. Na het bezoek keert u terug naar uw hotel.

Chinchero ligt op 28 km van de stad Cusco, op 3.780 meter boven zeeniveau. Het belangrijkste plein is een buitengewone fusie tussen Inca en koloniale architectuur. De kerk is een van de beste voorbeelden van religieuze kunst in Cusco, het werd gebouwd op Inca-muren, met een altaar versierd met bladgoud in de barokstijl.
Bezoek dan de archeologische overblijfselen van Maras. Het is een surrealistisch gezicht. Ligt zo dicht bij Moray en is een indrukwekkend complex van zoutwinning. Het zijn grote zoutafzettingen die worden gebruikt voor ruil voor andere producten met andere regio's van het rijk.

Ollantaytambo, een typisch voorbeeld van stedelijke planning van de Inca's die nog steeds bewoond zijn zoals in het verleden. U vindt hier een groot archeologisch complex genaamd fort, hoewel het een tambo was, een rust- en verblijfplaats voor lange afstandsreizigers.
De stad Pisac staat bekend om zijn archeologische complex en om zijn prachtige ambachtelijke markt waar u ambachten kunt vinden voor groenten en fruit die in de vallei worden verbouwd.

Awesome tour, worth every penny. This tour is the best. Our guide, Mr. Ruben is fantastic, he provided a lot of information about inca civilization, that you can not find anywhere! The lunch buffet is also very delicious and high quality. Although, if you visit these places yourself by taxi, it is much cheaper, but you won’t get the inside story from local people! Buy this tour and you won’t regret.

Beautiful Chinchero!, wonderful fabrics of the women's weaving cooperative. Impressive view from the top of the Temple of the Sun in Ollantaytambo. Impressive Moray. It's not so worth the salt flats of Maras. Excellent buffet lunch provided

It used to be folks went to the sacred valley to eat and relax. The Chinchero ruins are not the most spectacular but are interesting with their setting basically in the town. While the Moray circles don't seem like much, a walk around them is interesting and cool. The Maras salt flats are amazing given their history and especially if you see people tending their plots. The ruins at Ollantaytambo are some of the best in the entire area - second only to Machu Picchu.

I bought a package to Cusco with several tours to finish the last day in Machupicchu with LimaTour. Tour not recommended, our organizer (Veronica) has actually subcontracted all visits to local people, not organized and in a different way than expected: - Laguna Humantay: instead of a 10/15 person Service we found ourselves on a bus with 35 people wandering around for 1.5 hours before leaving to pick everyone up, and on the way back we were dropped off 1km from the hotel - Rainbow monuntain: we modified the tour in private after the previous experience. We had booked the horses in advance, but the guide showed up with no money and I had to pay another 50 sols (which never came back to me) - Sacred valley tour - Tour Pachacamac On every tour, except the one of the sacred valley, drivers and guides we had requested knew Italian or I English were not in a position to formulate or understand simple sentences, and as a result we had to communicate in Spanish. Look for more!!!!
