Verken een van de meest iconische landschappen van São Miguel tijdens deze privétour van een halve dag naar Sete Cidades, gecombineerd met een bezoek aan een traditionele ananasplantage. Reis via schilderachtige wegen naar de adembenemende vulkanische krater Sete Cidades, beroemd om zijn tweelingmeren, omringd door weelderige groene bergen. Stop bij enkele van de meest spectaculaire uitzichtpunten van het eiland, waaronder Vista do Rei, waar u een onvergetelijk panoramisch uitzicht over de krater kunt bewonderen. Bezoek tijdens de tour een lokale ananasplantage en leer over de traditionele glastuinbouw die uniek is voor de Azoren. Als je de westelijke krater opgaat, stop je hier om dit prachtige uitzicht over de noord- en zuidkust van het eiland te omarmen
Op het hoogste punt van de weg kun je een korte wandeling maken naar het Canário-meer, en de omgeving van dit beschermde landschapsgebied observeren.
In het hoofduitzichtpunt over het beroemde meer in deze krater kun je de enorme omvang van deze krater, het kleine dorpje dat erin bestaat en de prachtige meren zien, wat alles bij elkaar een speciale sfeer creëert vanuit dit uitzichtpunt.
Als je de weg afdaalt die naar de binnenkant van de krater leidt, heb je vanaf dit uitzichtpunt een ander perspectief op de meren en het dorp.
Toch is een ander meer, Santiagomeer, zichtbaar vanaf dit uitzichtpunt, een kleine krater die zich in het hoofdmeer bevindt.
Als we de afdaling naar de bodem van de krater afronden, stoppen we bij de brug die beide meren scheidt, voor een ander perspectief van deze gigantische krater en enkele foto's.
In het centrum van dit kleine dorp kunt u een vrij unieke kerk bezoeken waar een klein pad met Norfolk dennen en ceders leiden naar de Sint Nicolaas kerk.
Verken een klein stukje van het centrum van het dorp en neem een pauze om badkamers te gebruiken of een drankje of hapje te drinken in een lokale bar.
De laatste stop van de tour brengt u naar het meest westelijke punt van São Miguel. Een uitzichtpunt over de oceaan, vroeger gebruikt als walvisspot, en met uitzicht over Ferraria aan de ene kant en het dorp Mosteiros aan de andere kant.
Terugrijdend naar uw accommodatie nemen we de weg over de zuidkust van het eiland, ondertussen kunt u gewoon achterover leunen en ontspannen en genieten van het uitzicht.

Knowledgeable, informative, entertaining guide. Great communication prior to tour, on time pickup & very flexible pickup & drop off locations. Having compared prices of other private tours this was a bargain without sacrificing quality. Far superior to group tours.
Excellent tour covering various viewpoints along the way and the pineapple plantation. Very knowledgable guide. Great to see Cidades on the morning of our flight as it had been covered in cloud for much of our visit.

Flavio is a wonderful guide for the Azores! We were given an itinerary to work from, however Flavio is incredibly flexible, and will build the itinerary around your wishes. He is both a wonderful driver, skilled on narrow roads and tight parking! Flavio’s car was comfortable and spacious, with bottles of water supplied. HIs passion for the Azores, and his knowledge is outstanding. The pineapple tour was fascinating and educational. We LOVED our tour with Flavio, and would give him 10/10 + This was the highlight of our 5 day stop in the Azores.
Flavio was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Car was roomy and clean, trip was not rushed and felt he was very flexible with itinerary. The pineapple farm was much more interesting than I expected, well worth it.

Flávio is an excellent tour guide -- knowledgeable, patient, flexible, prompt, and humourous. We had an 8-hour layover in Ponta Delgada on our way to Graciosa (by way of Terceira), so we booked this 1/2 day (4 hour) tour of a pineapple plantation and Sete Cidades. Within a few hours of making the reservation online, Flávio messaged me via Whatsapp and confirmed the reservation. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and he picked us up at the airport in a very nice car thoughtfully stocked with waters. He told us a lot about the history and culture of Sao Miguel and the Azores in an engaging and entertaining way, answering our questions. Flavio was waiting for us as our ship docked which meant we were able to get started on our tour early, beating the crowds. The locations we visited were exceptional. Flavio was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the areas we were visiting. He was so friendly and willing to answer all our many questions and to wait for us as we explored each stop. He dropped us in our requested city centre location and provided more information on places to visit in the city. Highly recommended. Excellent tour and guide. Knows all the sights and routes. Very polite - great English - private tour lets you ask questions and customize the experience. Clean BMW and comfortable seats. We were on a cruise ship so no problems with returning to ship on the afternoon booking (and we were able to start a little early).
