Ten eerste word je rondgeleid door het Park en leer je over de lange geschiedenis. We zullen de prachtige tuinen zien die Albert voor zijn vrouw Koningin Victoria heeft aangelegd en genieten van het spectaculaire uitzicht als we het Paleis naderen waar Prins Harry en William opgroeiden. We ervaren dan de volle pracht van High Tea met Mousserende Wijn op een privé tafel in de 300 jaar oude Orangerie in het Paleis. Dit bronzen beeld van een man te paard heet Physical Energy en is het werk van de Britse kunstenaar George Frederic Watts (1817 - 1904). Watts had zeer hoge idealen voor zijn kunst, en zijn werk was bedoeld om de mensheid te helpen vooruitgang te omarmen. Fysieke Energie is een allegorie van de menselijke behoefte aan nieuwe uitdagingen – van ons instinct om altijd de horizon te scannen, kijkend naar de toekomst. Naar eigen zeggen is het ‘een symbool van die rusteloze fysieke impuls om het nog onbereikte te zoeken in het domein van materiële dingen’.
De naam van het park komt van de Manor of Hyde, die de noordoostelijke onderverdeling was van het landhuis van Eia (de andere twee onderverdelingen waren Ebury en Neyte) en als zodanig voorkomt in het Domesday Book.
De Italiaanse tuinen zijn een uitgebreide mix van vier belangrijke bassins. Ze zijn voorzien van centrale rozetten gebeeldhouwd in Carrara marmer, de Portland steen en wit marmer Tazza Fountain, en een collectie van stenen beelden en urnen. Kijk of je de vijf belangrijkste urnenontwerpen kunt zien - een zwanenborst, vrouwenhoofd, ramshoofd, dolfijn en ovaal.

Gebouwd door Sir Christopher Wren tussen 1789 en 1794. Bijkomend werk van William Kent. Alleen toegankelijk als u de optie boekt bij Palace Entry
In januari 2017 bestelden Diana's zonen een standbeeld van hun moeder voor Kensington Palace om de 20e verjaardag van haar overlijden te herdenken. Ian Rank-Broadley voerde het beeld uit.

Excellent tour guide sharing history and insights. High tea was amazing. This quite a long walk so please be aware. The grounds are exceptional.
This was an absolutely lovely experience. Our tour guide, Doug was incredible. We viewed the grounds and learned the history of this Palace prior to enjoying our tea and treats. The scones were sensational and all of history behind this beautiful place made the experience so enjoyable. Having the personal touch of a private tour guide was a great bonus. We would highly recommend this experience and are so appreciative to Doug for making this afternoon so memorable for us.
Tour guide Doug Cooper was excellent, engaging and informative. We went on a very nice walk around the gardens along with an educational discussion of the history and activities of the gardens and the palace. Doug also sat with us for tea and explained the customs and background of high tea.

Doug was exceptional! His knowledge of the palace and surrounding park were outstanding and he kept us engaged throughout our time with him. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to be immersed in Hyde park and Kensington palace surrounding including a finish with a beautiful tea service. Very easy to find starting spot. Our guide was already there waiting. Our guide, David took us through Hyde Park pointing out all of the highlights of this beautiful space. Things we would not have known on our own walking through. He was funny and knowledgeable about the park and surrounding area. He did well with our questions. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting a nice stroll in Hyde park to get hungry, followed by a beautiful and yummy tea service. And if you want to really know how tea is done in Britain, ask your guide to stay for tea service and share a tea and meal with someone who will entertain you with stories through the whole service. Fantastic, one of a kind experience!!!
