Stap binnen in de eeuwenoude wereld van Wessex terwijl je aan de historische reis van je leven begint. Uw vriendelijke chauffeur/gids haalt u 's ochtends rechtstreeks op bij uw hotel, zodat u zich kunt vermaken terwijl u een voorsprong heeft op de grote bustochten in Stonehenge. Ontgrendel de geheimen van 's werelds beroemdste steencirkel met je deskundige gids. In de middag nemen we je mee naar de enige UNESCO-werelderfgoedstad van het land, waar je de gelegenheid hebt om het Roman Baths Museum te verkennen; gewijd aan de Keltisch-Romeinse godin Sulis Minerva. Je hebt dan tijd om deze prachtige stad te verkennen en te lunchen in het stadscentrum, voordat je panoramische rondleiding door Bath begint om de prachtige Georgische architectuur te zien - The Royal Crescent en The Circus. Op de terugweg naar Londen rijden we door het Engelse platteland, zien we de glooiende heuvels van The Cotswolds en leren we hoe de middeleeuwse wolhandel het kloppende hart van de Engelse economie was. Je kunt er dan voor kiezen om Castle Combe of Lacock te zien.

'S Ochtends reizen we naar Stonehenge en arriveren voor de grote reisgroepen, zodat de ervaring memorabeler en specialer is. Onze gidsen weten alles wat er te weten valt over Stonehenge en hun passie zal bijdragen aan uw algehele ervaring.
In de middag bezoeken we het prachtige Roman Baths Museum; De enige plaats in Engeland waar u naast een Romeinse tempel natuurlijk thermaal water kunt zien. De stad heette vroeger Aqaue Sulis en heeft zowel de Romeinse als de Keltische oorsprong. Dit prachtige museum zal je mond open laten vallen als je ziet hoe goed de 2000 jaar oude vloer er vandaag uitziet. Afgezien van de tempel, Bath biedt prachtige winkels en architectuur uit de 18e eeuw, toen het volledig opnieuw werd uitgevonden als een kuuroord. Het Queen Square, Circus en Royal Crescent zijn slechts enkele van de prachtige ontwerpen van John Wood. Uw gids zal u fascineren met verhalen van Romeinse oorsprong tot Georgische glamour en het verhaal over Bath tot leven brengen!
Op de terugweg naar Londen kun je enkele van de mooiste landschappen van Engeland bewonderen terwijl we een stap terug doen naar het 18e-eeuwse Engeland. Uw gids zal u informeren over wat eens de meest lucratieve handel in Europa was; Cotswold-wol. Dorpen als Castle Combe bloeiden op de wolindustrie en hebben een perfect klein dorp met prachtige wevershuisjes en een kerk gecreëerd. Als je van wandelingen in het platteland houdt, spreek je met je gids en je kunt ook een openbaar voetpad volgen om een echte ervaring van landelijk Engeland te krijgen.
Je hebt een keuze tijdens deze tour om Castle Combe OF Lacock Abbey te bezoeken. Lacock Village is veel groter dan Castle Combe en misschien niet zo pittoresk, maar het is een must voor Harry Potter Fans op zoek naar filmlocaties van de epische films!

Als uw hotel/accommodatie in Oost-Londen (E1 Postcode) is, halen we u op bij uw accommodatie om 07:00 of 07:15 uur. We eindigen de tour vervolgens bij Gloucester Road Underground Station om uw sightseeingtijd tijdens de tour te maximaliseren, in plaats van deze door te brengen met rijden door Londen. We nemen contact met u op nadat een boeking is gemaakt om een eerdere vertrektijd af te spreken om ervoor te zorgen dat de tour soepel verloopt, zodat u op tijd bij Stonehenge aankomt :)

Our tour was excellent in every way. Christian was affable, efficient and very knowledgeable. We particularly appreciated the historical perspective he provided. We highly recommend this tour.
Best pick for traveling the British countryside! Our lovely guide Peter Iles made this trip the most enjoyable part of our time in London. His easy manner and deep command of the history of the region made for a very enriching experience. He explains Stonehenge as if a scholar and had an infectious enthusiasm for explaining the theories behind this monument. He made it feel like even though this monument is in Britain, it represents the ancient wisdom that is certainly in all our ancestors pasts. I wish we had more time here to arrange other trips with Peter as our guide!
Peter’s vast and in depth knowledge of the history of the region made for a very enriching experience - I cannot recommend highly enough!

Our guide Christian M. was amazing! So incredibly informed/educated about the area and sites. A lot of fantastic history education mixed with some great "dad" jokes. He went out of his way to be sure we had a fantastic day and part of that was really knowing his stuff and being incredibly organized. Castle Combe is not to be missed!

Absolutely the BEST tour we've ever been on! Oz is not just a tour guide but a friend and great wealth of knowledge! We had two amazing day trips with Oz as our tour guide. He made each tour specific to our likes. We even stopped for coffee on the way to Stonehenge because of that stop he checked the Google Maps and it showed an accident on 303 hwy. Which we took a detour, but the bigger busses always stay on the path despite accidents on the roadways, We got to Stonehenge before everyone else and had it all to ourselves for 15 mins which is unheard of! He walked us through talking about the site and answering all our questions good, bad and the ugly. . Even when we went to Bath he already had an idea we wanted a good steak and ale pie, he had looked it up the night before and suggested The Raven which was one of the best pies and pints we had. I know it seems kinda pricy BUT TRUST ME IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! The one one experience is so worth it! If you were to splurge on a once in a lifetime trip I would pick this company hands down! By the time this ended we were planning another trip via this amazing company. He say's he has people who specialize in different locations. We are now looking to book with them for Wales, S. England and N. England going into Scotland. We also hired Tailored Tours to help us get from our hotel to Fullers Brewery > OVO Wembley for a concert > and Pickup from OVO to our hotel. Richard was our driver that day and what a wonderful man who made our experience so easy. Which we were worried about coming to an unknown country and trying to figure out concert logistics.

We had an amazing private tour with Oz. Super flexible with our time in every location. Very impressed with his history knowledge. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit these locations, tour was a long day but didn’t feel long and was my kids favorite day in London!
