Als je op zoek bent naar een authentieke en buiten de gebaande paden ervaring in Peru, dan mag je de South Valley Tour in Cusco niet missen. Het is een ervaring die je meeneemt door de rijke geschiedenis, cultuur en natuurlijke schoonheid van deze unieke regio. Verken drie Andes-attracties, te beginnen met een bezoek aan de archeologische vindplaats Tipón, waar je meer te weten komt over de ingenieuze technische en spirituele praktijken van de Inca's. Verken vervolgens de ruïnes van Pikillacta (de vlooienstad). Stop ten slotte in de stad Andahuaylillas en bezoek de kerk van San Pedro, ook wel bekend als de 'Sixtijnse Kapel van Amerika'.

Deze fascinerende tour begint met de ophaalservice bij uw hotel tot 8.00 uur. Op deze dag ga je op een exclusief avontuur. We beginnen onze reis in Quispicanchis.
We bezoeken het indrukwekkende archeologische complex van Tipón, een belangrijk centrum van aanbidding waar de Inca's water vereerden, een van de natuurelementen die in de kosmologie van de Andes als heilig worden beschouwd. Water stroomt door kanalen en doorkruist terrassen en watervallen.
Vervolgens gaan we naar het archeologische complex van Pikillacta, het stedelijke centrum van Huari dat dateert uit het pre-Inca-tijdperk. Je zult merken dat de constructies hier behoorlijk verschillen van de Inca-constructies.
We gaan verder naar de stad Andahuaylillas, waar u de 16e-eeuwse kerk kunt zien, bekend als de "Sixtijnse Kapel van Amerika" vanwege de overvloed aan schilderijen aan de muren en het plafond. De kerk beschikt over een orgel versierd met engelen en engeltjes, evenals grote muurschilderingen van de beroemde kunstenaar Tadeo Escalante.

Wonderful experience, especially Pikillacta, from the pre-Inca period. The day was perfect! And we also finished with a wonderful lunch and an even better cost-benefit, indicated by the guide. I recommend Peru Grand Travel.

Another day of tour with a lot of enlightenment. Knowing the culture of a people that makes you try to imagine how those people lived. What most impressed me were the buildings where the Incas and the Wari lived.

It was a very pleasant surprise. It was our last day in Cusco and it seemed like we have seen it all already. However, finding out more about the Wari people, and seeing the remains of their city was astonishing. Everything else was fine. Our guide semmed to know a lot, however she semmed to be a little bit more bossy than what she should be. She was showing a chapel and compared it to the Sistine chapel, and a family asked about the Sistine chapel. She said something like “how come you don’t know about the Sistine chapel”. She was a little intimidating…
