Verlaat het oude vissersdorp Virpazar door een smal kanaaltje omsloten door wilgen en riet. Ga naar links, onder de brug door, en ontdek de overblijfselen van het eeuwenoude fort Lesendro. Observeer aalscholvers, reigers, meeuwen, meerkoeten en ijsvogels - onder vele anderen. Daag je geluk uit en ga op zoek naar de pelikanen - deze zeldzame vogels staan bij het officiële logo van het Lake Skadar National Park.
Dit fort staat bekend als Bisschoppelijk Verdriet en draagt een diepgaande historische erfenis, die teruggaat tot de regering van Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, een prominent figuur in het verleden van Montenegro. Strategisch gepositioneerd diende het ooit als een beveiliging tegen potentiële vijandelijke bedreigingen. Tegenwoordig trekken Lesendro en zijn omgeving vogelliefhebbers naar zijn diverse ecosysteem. Aalscholvers, reigers en meeuwen zijn slechts een glimp van het levendige vogelleven dat op ontdekking wacht.
Passeer in de buurt van de Morača rivier - een internationaal vogelgebied en ga naar de drie nabijgelegen eilanden.
Ontdek de betoverende natuur van Montenegro en de Amazone vibes die het heeft terwijl u uw tour voortzet naar drie wilde eilanden. Geniet van het adembenemende landschap, waar de delicate dans van witte en gele waterlelies een eindeloos tapijt over het water vormt. De uitgestrekte, donkergroene bladeren zweven er zachtjes tussen, waardoor een boeiend tapijt ontstaat dat je ademloos achterlaat.
Zwem in het frisse, diepblauwe water van het Skadarmeer met een prachtig decor van bergketens en typisch Montenegrijnse platteland. Geniet van het uitzicht op de terugreis met een kopje lokale wijn en neem een laatste diepe adem van de rust van het meer voordat u terugkeert naar Virpazar.

We had an amazing time with Alex and Baki on the tour of Lake Skadar. They were both really friendly and informative and the lake was beautiful, it was one of the highlights of our holiday. I would thoroughly recommend this boat trip, thanks guys

The lake is beautiful with little in the way of human impact. Saw pelicans and large areas of lilies. We were offered a chance to swim, but weren't aware this was an option on the trip so didn't have any swim kit with us.
This boat tour was such a unique experience! Thinking we had booked a standard group tour, we were very surprised to learn that it was accidentally booked as a private tour...and we are so glad about our mistake! Having Daniel, our guide, all to ourselves enabled us to have great conversations with him. Not only did we learn about the lake, history, and unique wildlife, but also a lot about his life and the culture and traditions of Montenegrin people. We had a great time on this tour!
We had the best time on our boat tour with Alex and Nicolai , who were so friendly , pointed out interesting nature and historical facts for us. The scenery throughout the whole trip is honestly out of this world. We would a hundred percent recommend this experience!!
Lake Skadar is beautiful and worth the trip from the port. We enjoyed being out on the water in a wooden boat but unfortunately our guide spent most of his time on his cell phone. It was more like a boat ride rather than a "tour" - and we had to ask questions and then he would answer but rarely did he give us any information about the NP or the area on his own. That was really disappointing especially after paying more for a private tour.
11/10 private boat tour - The best day we had in Montenegro Everybody was so nice on our guide (I think he was called Yago ? ) was amazing ! We saw a lot of birds, had a really nice swim in the Lake and the wine was really good Thanks you for very nice memories
Absolutely brilliant trip! Our guide Alex and the captain were very professional and good fun. There are so many boat companies to choose from in Virpazar - I would recommend this one definitely. We also did the 2 hour bird watching tour which was very good and the captain took us to different parts of the lake that we hadn't seen the day before.
