Proef het beste eten dat wordt aangeboden tijdens deze gedenkwaardige wijnreiservaring in Kaapstad met een geweldige lunch in de vallei en bergen van de adembenemende pittoreske Kaapse Wijnlanden, de regio's Steellenbosch, Franschhoek en Paarl. Proef tot 20 zorgvuldig geselecteerde premium bekroonde wijnen in de Jewel of the Cape Winelands, namelijk Delaire Graff met luxe Tokara-wijnlandgoed op de lijst, evenals Delheim & Fairview Wine-landgoed met hun combinatie van wijn en kaas / vlees. Deze tour is zeer flexibel en kan worden aangepast aan de voorkeur van de gast. Bekijk de historische stad Stellenbosch, een optioneel bezoek aan de laatste gevangenis van Nelson Mandela, bekend als de Drakenstein-gevangenis, voormalig Victor Vester, en een optionele wandeltocht in Franschhoek Centre. Kort nadat we om 9.00 uur bij uw accommodatie zijn opgehaald door een privégids/chauffeur in een privévoertuig, gaan we op een all-inclusive Kaapse Wijnlanden-tour van een hele dag naar Stellenbosch en Franschhoek, bekend als de American Express Wine Route van Zuid-Afrika. Volg de wijnroute Stellenbosch en Franschhoek in al zijn pracht. U zult genieten van wijnproeverijen op maximaal 4 zorgvuldig geselecteerde bekroonde wijndomeinen, waarbij alle kosten voor wijnproeverijen zijn inbegrepen, en u zult ook genieten van een hoofdgerechtlunch op een van deze bekroonde wijnboerderijen.
Aangekomen in Stellenbosch, zullen we genieten van een rondleiding door de stad. Stellenbosch is de op één na oudste stad van Zuid-Afrika en de thuisbasis van meer dan 200 bekroonde wijndomeinen.
Onze eerste wijnproeverijstop is bij Delaire Graff Wine Estate. Delaire Graff staat bekend als de parel van de Kaapse wijnlanden en is niet alleen beroemd om zijn bekroonde wijnen, maar ook om zijn spectaculaire uitzichten en fotomomenten op Instagram. Hier proef je 5 premium wijnen uit een keuze uit 6 wijnen. Je gids helpt je de mooiste Instagram-foto's te maken. Delaire Graff is een luxe en modern wijndomein.
Vanaf het wijnlandgoed Delaire Graff rijden we in 5 minuten naar Tokara Wine Estate. Hier gaan we tot 4 zorgvuldig geselecteerde Premium Wijnen proeven. Tokara is een luxe en modern wijndomein.
Vervolgens rijden we 20 minuten naar Delheim Wine Estate. We zullen genieten van een hoofdgerechtlunch met premium wijnproeverij in Delheim Garden Restaurant met uitzicht op de weelderige groene tuinen. Kies uw hoofdgerecht uit een selectie van vlees, gevogelte, vis of vegetarische opties. Houd er rekening mee dat alleen het hoofdgerecht is inbegrepen in onze tourprijs voor alleen gasten die de wijn- en lunchoptie hebben geboekt en betaald en niet meer dan R275,00 per persoon mogen zijn. Bij overschrijding van dit bedrag zijn de meerkosten voor eigen rekening. Extra Wijnen, Frisdranken en/of eventuele andere gangen van het menu zijn aanvullend en voor eigen rekening. Mocht Delheim Estate om welke reden dan ook gesloten zijn, dan kunt u genieten van een wijnproeverij en lunch op Muratie Wine Estate, een van de oudste wijndomeinen van het land, waar al meer dan 300 jaar bekroonde wijnen worden geproduceerd.
De tour gaat verder met een wijnproeverij bij een van de meest populaire wijnproeverijbestemmingen in de Kaapse Wijnlanden, bekend als Fairview Wine Estate. Hier zullen we tot 6 soorten wijnen proeven in combinatie met 6 zorgvuldig geselecteerde soorten kaas, variërend van rode en witte cultivars.
Er wordt een optionele stop aangeboden voor het Drakenstein Correctional Centre (voorheen Victor Verster Prison) om een foto te maken met het Nelson Mandela-monument.
Onze tour eindigt met een rit door de stad Franschhoek, bekend als de voedsel- en wijnhoofdstad van Zuid-Afrika. Het is de thuisbasis van enkele van de beste restaurants en wijndomeinen van het land.
We keren terug naar Kaapstad voor aflevering bij uw accommodatie in Kaapstad.

The wine in Stellenbosch is spectacular and the wineries are all very picturesque. On this tour the guide took us to each winery and agreed a pick up time. Everything was clear and well communicated.

This tour did not meet the expectations set by the description of a luxury wine tour. When you book and pay for a wine tour, you expect a knowledgeable guide who can speak intelligently about the wines — varietals, winemaking techniques, terroir, and tasting characteristics. Instead, we received a general history lesson about the region. While history has its place, that is not what we signed up for. We visited three wineries (by choice), and it’s difficult to see how more could reasonably be included. In reality, this felt like hiring a driver for the day rather than participating in a professionally curated wine experience. We could have arranged private transportation ourselves, chosen our own wineries, and likely received better value. The advertised “wine and cheese pairing” was also misrepresented. A true pairing is intentional — specific wines matched with specific cheeses to enhance both. What we received appeared to be a random selection, with no explanation or thoughtful curation. Given the cost, we expected expertise, structure, and authenticity. What was delivered did not justify the premium price. The only thing luxury about it was how much it cost. Also, I don’t blame the driver I blame the person profiting from this hack of a tour.

Regarding the winery visits, our intention is always to create a relaxed and well-paced day. However, the value of a luxury experience must come from expertise, structure, and intentional curation — not simply logistics. If that depth and structure were not delivered, we take that concern seriously. We also appreciate your comments about the wine and cheese pairing. A true pairing should be deliberate and clearly explained, highlighting how specific wines and cheeses complement one another. If what was presented lacked intention or explanation, that falls short of the standard we aim to uphold. We regret that the experience did not justify the premium price in your view. The tour guide Gordon was on time, very knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. The wine facilities visited were a good choice with a wide variety of products, and the personnel were all extremely knowledgeable of their wines. We had a great day trying 20 wines in 4 different vineyards, with time to wander around Stellenbosch and a lunch stop in Franschhoek. Superb views and Morne our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend if you want to dip into the local wines and have someone else drive!
