Deze tour zit letterlijk boordevol geweldige ervaringen en avonturen! Eerst ga je naar Hitlers beroemde Adelaarsnest hoog in de Berchtesgadener Alpen en daal vervolgens af naar de smaragdgroene wateren van de Königssee voor een boottocht. Ten slotte bezoekt u de historische parel van Oostenrijk, de stad Salzburg, met zijn unieke oude binnenstad vol monumenten en het iconische fort Hohensalzburg. Dit alles in het comfort van een privéauto met een Engelssprekende lokale chauffeur die de omgeving kent en graag informatie met u deelt. U kiest uw eigen ophaaldatum en -tijd voor een probleemloze overdracht van deur tot deur. Onze chauffeur is vriendelijk en te allen tijde beschikbaar. Het Adelaarsnest of Kehlsteinhaus werd in 1937-1938 gebouwd als cadeau voor Hitlers 50ste verjaardag. Het gebouw is een architectonisch meesterwerk met een fantastisch uitzicht, gelegen op een smalle rotsachtige bergkam op een hoogte van 1.834 meter midden in de Beierse Alpen nabij de Alpenstad Berchtesgaden. Een bezoek aan het Adelaarsnest is fascinerend. Uw Engelssprekende privéchauffeur brengt u naar de parkeerplaats, waar een lokale bus u langs een steil, 6,5 km lang pad uit de rotsen brengt. In 15 minuten klim je 700 meter. Maar dat is niet alles. Wanneer u de bovenste parkeerplaats bereikt, moet u door een met marmer omzoomde tunnel lopen en vervolgens een luxe historische lift nemen, nog eens 124 meter omhoog. Daar vind je niet alleen het interieur van de ooit beroemde villa, maar ook het restaurant en natuurlijk een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht op de Alpen.
Mis de kans niet om een boottocht te maken en te genieten van de rust en stilte van het nationale park. Een adembenemend panorama van watervallen en torenhoge kliffen wacht op u. De smaragdgroene Königssee ligt aan de voet van de oostkant van de Watzmann in het hart van het Berchtesgaden National Park. Met een diepte van 190 meter is het het diepste meer van Duitsland. De boottocht over het meer stopt bij de beroemde Sint-Bartholomeuskerk. De 17e-eeuwse kerk is een van de meest fotogenieke plekken aan het meer. Er is een kiosk en een restaurant in de buurt. Interessant genoeg bevriest het meer gemiddeld maar eens in de tien jaar. Er is ongewoon koud weer en geen wind voor nodig. Een rondvaart op het meer is dan ook het hele jaar door een belevenis.
Als u genoeg heeft van de schoonheid van de Königsee, wacht u een comfortabele privétransfer naar het volgende juweeltje. Het imposante fort Hohensalzburg is het grootste overgebleven fort in Midden-Europa en biedt adembenemende panoramische uitzichten van 360°. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd in 1077 door aartsbisschop Gebhard als verdedigingsfort, ligt het bovenop de Festungsberg. Het bekleedt nog steeds een dominante positie en kijkt uit op de stad Salzburg als haar eeuwige bewaker. Binnen in het kasteel zijn er verschillende museumtentoonstellingen. Op de derde verdieping bevinden zich de originele vertrekken, waaronder de Prinsenzaal, de Gouden Kamer en de Gouden Zaal. De inrichting van deze kamers is origineel en sinds 1501/1502 onveranderd gebleven. Ook de historische binnenstad is prachtig, waar je de filmlocaties van de iconische musical The Sound of Music kunt bezoeken.

Tomas was an exceptional guide. He customized our pickup and we spent extra time at places we wanted to and less time where we didn’t need as much. It was the fullest day of touting I can remember. I would definitely have Tomas take us on another tour. He provided history, context, and was tremendously personable.
The eagles nest was a disappointment as it had no historical value, however Martin was the best part of the whole experience. He took us everywhere we wanted to go and more; he was super nice and made us feel incredibly comfortable.

Our guide Abir was very kind. It was the perfect day in 3 great locations. It is nice to do research ahead of time so you have an idea of things you want to see in your free time once you get to the locations.
This was an all-day tour covering 3 locations. I thought I was in shape, but realized how the altitude at Konigssee and Eagle Nest can change that assessment! We were fortunate to have an experienced tour guide in Tomas Vacir. He was proactive in telling us when we need to buy tickets (the lift at Konigssee, the bus up to Eagle's Nest). If it had not been for him, we would not have been able get into Eagle's Nest, as it happened to be a holiday and the morning slots had already been taken. We adapted by going to Konigssee first, taking in Eagle's Nest in the afternoon and finishing the day in Salzburg. Tomas was very prompt to greet us after each visit and get us to our next destination. He even provided us map location to our phone of sites to visit in Salzburg.
It's a great area to travel and great stops along the way. Our driver Tomas was friendly and informative.

After a long drive, the tour had been closed due to weather. Had we been informed of this, alternative plans would have been made. The driver we had however, was fantastic and we made the best of it.

We enjoyed an entire day with Tomas. He is fluent in English and we had enjoyable conversations the whole day. He loves history and shared a lot of information, so if Tomas is your driver please ask about the history for each spot visited. We loved how this private tour is completely catered to what you want to do and for how long. We were able to communicate with Tomas using WhatsApp to modify how long we wanted to stay at each place. He was quick to respond and pick us up promptly. Tomas really made this tour fun and enjoyable as it takes an entire day. A couple of suggestions: get to Eagles Nest early as the large tour groups show up around 10:30 am and be sure to contact The Europe Journey Team and request the links to purchase the tickets for the bus at Eagle Nest and the boat ride at Lake Königssee before you go. The Europe Journey Team was also very quick to respond using WhatsApp. They sent me our driver Tomas’ contact information the day before so I was able to touch base about the pickup time. Munich’s weather can change quickly so pack for both rain and sunshine. Overall we enjoyed each spot visited. Munich is a beautiful city with lots to see 💕
